This Months Services

June 1: There's Always Something To Do in the Garden

Growing things in the garden offers a metaphor for how we grow our spirits in a religious community where people have diverse needs. Presenter: Sarah York Service Leader: Diane Graham

June 8: Our Inner Knowing

The Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS) was founded by Apollo 14 astronaut Edgar Mitchell in 1973. The IONS advances the science of consciousness and human experience to serve individual and collective transformation. Noetic sciences further the exploration of conventional sciences through rigorous inquiry into those aspects of reality -- such as mind, consciousness and spirit -- that include but go beyond physical phenomena. Their primary program areas include integral health and healing, extended human capacities, and emerging worldviews. Presenter: Ellie Lyne Service Leader: Terry Taylor.

June 15: What Inspires Me?

This is the second service in our series exploring the profound revelations or connections which create the most affecting responses within us.

Our own members share their personal experiences of emotional or intellectual revelation which have altered their lives in meaningful ways.

June 22: Between the Wars: Women Peace Activists Connecting Internationally

The women who participated in an international peace movement created transatlantic connections. They started an international peace and freedom organization in the midst of WWI which exists to this day. The life of Rosika Schwimmer, a Hungarian who fought for U.S. citizenship, denied in 1929 because of her pacifism, parallels the lives of the presenter's parents who were peace and justice activists in this period. Presenter: Maggie McFadden Service Leader: Judy Rothschild.

June 29: Vision for BUUF

Our new president will speak about her hopes and vision for the next year for our Fellowship. Presenter: Christine Dave Service Leader: Roland Moy
