I did not watch the first, but did watch the Cheney/Edwards and the last two Bush/Kerry debates. My own observations about his behavior as a Catholic are over the thirty four years that it's been since I returned from Vietnam with more faith than I went with. I was sturck by this quote from another commentor:
Quote: | Kerry also used to claim he was Irish when he thought it would get him votes. |
Kerry's constituents are primarily Irish Catholics, and he is always a Catholic during an election cycle. The same as he is always charitable during an election cycle. Check it out. For real. I'm what can be considered middleclass by any standard, don't owe anyone a lot of money, don't have much for savings, but with two jobs we're doing okay.
We give MORE than Kerry does on an annual average basis.
He claims he can't be a Catholic and legislate the abortion issue, but then claims his views on the Environment are predicated on his 'Catholic' perspective, and he supports that perspective WITH HIS VOTE.
So. Let me get this straight - Smog is an issue with he is willing to legislate, but abortion is not. WOW. |

Well I'm tossing in another 25.00, the two things people will remember
from last night's debate will be Mary Cheney and "we all married up."
Kerry planned on getting in "Cheney's daughter is a lesbian" from the
getgo because it wasn't an answer to the question that was asked.
Besides, how in the hell would he know what Mary Cheney thinks and
he could have spoken about the others who were gay he intimated about.
It was crass and vile.
When he said they all married up, I swear, I saw the thought cross his
mind a split second after he said it, Oh ****......... HaHaHa. Bet
Teresa wasn't too happy. Bush was great. Like I said, the only things
people will remember about last night's debate, is Kerry's gaffes, and
that the guy isn't the great of a debator after all, all his statistics. Gheez. |

Didn't participate in the Debate bingo, but just sent another $25, for a total of $100 now.
The new Swifty commercials are great! Can't wait to see Stolen Honor!
My favorite part of the debate was 'Your rhetoric does not match your record!"
That one had to hurt... _________________ Doug

I figure he insulted devout Catholics by ruling them out of Supreme Court consideration--$5.00.
He insulted allof our allies by saying we needed to make realalliances--$5.00.
He insulted the Cheney's--not one of the categories I pledged for, but good for $10.00 anyway. My $20.00 is on the way.
Come to think of it, he insulted me as a Christian, by using the Bible to snakily insinuate Bush's faith was without works, therefore the dead kind. That really makes me mad. I really really hate it when someone dares to use a Bible verse to imply that it condemns another person, whose faith is not his to judge. Last time I heard that, it was Clinton using that verse in a black church to insult consevatives. Make it $50.00. |
