Lines like this always amuse me;

Quote:
As we speak, Washington is negotiating a highly secretive agreement with Beijing, the Chinese capital, for the eviction of bin Laden from his sanctuary in the turbulent Muslim provinces of China

If it's so "highly secret," how does this person know about it? Laughing

I'm not from Missouri, but for this, show me!

I would assume the latter.

Look at all the links on the left side of the guy's home page. FWIW - This doesn't look on the level to me. Confused

Yep. I found him on the web. I think it's BS. Makes for an interesting read, however. I think he must be tight with Kitty Kelley.

The writer told such a good story that I was tempted to believe it for a second. I knew the closer we got to the election, the more crazy stories we would hear. First, it was the capture of Zawahiri in Pakistan and now this. Quit playing games with my emotions.

I will add a caveat or two to this. In early September, Cofer Black said he wouldn't be surpirsed if UBL was caught sometime soon. Who is he you might ask. Currently, he works for the State Department, but in 2001 he was head of the CIA's paramilitary program. I'm sure he still has contacts in the CIA.

The other thing that bothers me came from the debates. Neither Bush nor Cheney offered any defense to the Tora Bora accusation. Maybe they thought it wasn't worth the time, but they could have given some sort of response. I got the sense that they had a certain amount of coyness on the issue.

Who knows about this. I just thought I would throw these thoughts out. After all, it is the internet.

Real reason for not getting OBL at Tora Bora---1) the Russians lost there decisively in early 80s, why not use Afghan troops 2) It is their war, why not use Afghan troops 3) there was approximately 80 different places he could have actually been--needle in a haystack 4) the terrain was rugged mountains 9,000 ft straight up, caves with openings everywhere--enemy would be at the front and then suddenly behind you, who knows the terrain the best---Afghan troops 5) High altitude winds caused helicopters to be ineffective, but we did drop everything we had there (precision bomber munitions, and we did wound OBL, and 6) it was Gen Tommy Frank's decision, and if it was good enough for him, then it was good enough for me.
Number 6 was what Bush should have said in response.

Real reason for not getting OBL at Tora Bora....

We did... he is now dead. IMHO.
No point in letting Al Qaeda know this. An organization with its head cut off does not run effectively. Plus he would have become a martyr.
