Sorry Son of a Vet, my booboo. I still have not caught on to using the quote buttons very well.
Sweet heart you need to go back and check, I did not post that. I replied to it and disagreed with it. [/quote] |

You are still a sweetheart. No problem. I, like you think everyone has a right to get upset over Elmer Fudd- PETA member or not. _________________

Here is an answer I just recieved from PETA in response to my e-mail to them.
"Thank you for contacting PETA about political candidates who engage in blood sports. Please understand that PETA certainly opposes any activity which causes intentional harm to animals, including hunting and fishing.
First, my letter to them:
As an avid PETA supporter and friends of animals, I am sure you share my outrage over John Kerry killing geese just to appeal to voters. I hope that you take a position on this and make a public statement. We cannot allow our public leaders to advance their agendas at the expense of innocent life.
Their answer to me:
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, educational organization, PETA is prohibited from participating in any political campaigns or endorsing a particular candidate or party. However, we encourage you to contact the candidate or party that you are interested in directly; ask the party representatives for their position on animal rights, and tell the candidate that animal rights issues will influence your vote. "

Sorry, I screwed up the order a little bit of the comments above. I guess I'm in just too much of a hurry.

Jetting into Ohio, KILLING a big fat goose on a farm, then "too lazy" to even carry his own dead goose, and within a couple of hours jetting off to the next campaign event! How disgustingly pathetic has dem political scheming become? |

Too funny!
I will only believe what he wants me to believe when I see him feather it, gut it, fry it and eat it.

Now, now--I think we may be a little rough on Skerry! After all, he's the all-around man, athlete, etc. Witness: Plays hockey, goes snow skiing, goose hunting, wind surfing ( ), etc. Maybe tomorrow he'll bowl a few lines, have a shot and a beer, and the next day engage in an exciting game of Bocci Ball! He even tossed a baseball (which hit about 10 feet short of the plate but Pres. Bush threw a strike while wearing a Kevlar!). He's just out there showing us he's "one of us" while his source of income hugs three brews to show she's grown up. Wotta pair! _________________ No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.

You may or may not think this is trivial, but this is one aspect of goose hunting that has always bothered me: Canada geese mate for life, and they are certainly aware when their mate is killed (perhaps "lost" would be a more accurate term).
I am a firm believer that responsible hunting is necessary stewardship, and don't want to use the "Bambi" anti-hunting arguments. Canada geese can be very problematic to farmers in some areas, and culling is a necessary evil. However, I have also lived most of my life in the Eastern fly-way, and the Canada geese have been a part of the rythym of my life from earliest memory. So, forgive me for being sentimental, but I think it's unsupportable to kill an innocent creature, especially when you're probably leaving it's mate behind, just to score political points. |

Pam Anderson just sent a complaint (along with 260 other PETA members) about the British Guard wearing real fur hats. If this is "fair game" for PETA, goose hunting for "attempted" political gain should be near the top of their agenda for now if you ask me! |

Kerry is a political whore and he doesn't care who he sc**ws to get what he wants.
No disrespect.
It's not just the Vets he has done this to. You were the 3rd group after he sc**wed the navy in Vietnam and America in Paris with the VCs. After he came home it was the vets turn.
He has compliled a long list ever since.
Did y'all hear the quote on Rush. "Can I git me a huntin' licence here?"
What a fraud. Then Rush says that Ohio immediately bumped to 5 points for Bush the next day.
Four hunters, 2 hours, a gaggle of reporters, and 4 geese killed.
This better than the bunny suit.
Maybe he nees to go pheasant hunting in PA. _________________ What about John Kerry's four months in Vietnam qualify him to be president?
Al Gore was there for five. |

When asked, some folks in the vicinity of "The Hunt" did not recall hearing any gunshots. Hmmm..
Overheard and ignored, John Edwards, not to be left out, went hunting as well. For Mousse for his hair. _________________ 8th Army Korea 68-69 |

As I said in a previous post, I was told by the NRA that he did not actually shoot the goose. I was told that someone had pre-killed those geese and then he went out and they pretended that he shot one of them. |
