I lived in New Port Richey once upon a time, but only for six months. Of course that was about 24 years ago, but it sounds like it hasen't changed much.

Congrats on your heroism and persistance.

Deborah, going back to the first line in your by-now "classic":

Quote:
Early today I was conducting a poll of Florida voters and I learned two important things rather quickly. One, I am surrounded by a bunch of animate rocks passing themselves off as humans and two, not a single solitary voting rock had a clue what Stolen Honor was or that Sinclair was doing a special about it.

Was it really that bad? How informed/uninformed were those you tried to poll, really? Or were those sentences just a little artistic license?

I'm afraid not. None of the had heard of Stolen Honor and only one claimed to have heard of the CBS memo scandal.

3 were undecided
2 were for Kerry
1 was for Bush but he was an illegal allien and couldn't vote

That was when I decided maybe polling wasn't the best way to proceed.

............ i was wandering in the garden at night again, musing nothing, feeling the new thumbnail tattoo. The one that came from that last sure shot of placing a placard by street light, drving that last roofing nail, that oh so surely inevitably gets the nail, thumbnail, left thumbnail.
There is some gratitude in that the right thumb operates the space bar, and another silent mission accomplished...
Tightening the knot at my terry robe, and seeing my Toot-toot Tugboat slippers, and their swiftee semblance it came to me in waves. Like the werewolf the morning after that finds the freshley shed dog hair in the underwear, or hearing words from a dream of sensei' forgotten, not knowing when it took over, but knowing it like the river flows.
I am on the path of the pajamahadeen........

With such a talent for writing, you will be dodging pies with Ann Coulter before the next election.

Next stop was so simple it hardly bears mentioning. We pulled into a seniors MH condominium plaza (aka: trailer park for old Yankees) and hunted down the club house.

Hey, hey, hey, now my in-laws are some of those old Yankees wintering in FL.... and thank God for it, too! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
