Pat B just closed the Scarborough segment with a short spiel about Lawrence O'Donnell being over the line and that MSNBC agreed and said it would never happen on that show again.

Hope someone has the transcript of what Pat said exactly.

Couldn't tell if O'Donnell is gone as senior political analyst or not.

Here's the e-mail I just sent off to Joe Scarborough:

======================================

Nice apology by Pat Buchanan.

Now, when will we be seeing John O'Neill back on Scarborough country so he can say what he didn't get a chance to say while Lawerence was yelling and screaming.

Time for a little restitution.

Apology not good enough. I'll email MSNBC and Scarborough asking that John be scheduled again BEFORE NOV 2nd, and be allowed to talk.

Bob it's a good idea not to put your name and address on a public forum. You might want to edit your signature line. We get a lot of outside visitors here.
btw, welcome to the forum. Smile

I read a transcript on some other site this morning. By my book that was no apology. The lunatic was not even on the set to express his remorse for his disgraceful behavior. That leads me to believe he is not sorry. NBC is just sorry he couldn't disrupt Mr. O'Neill in a less obvious way.

For most of us, Larry should come on prime time TV, apologize profusely to everyone (right and left) then resign in his shame. If MSNBC has the courage, they should accept his resignation.

In football that's called a dirty win. Mission accomplished, but it wasn't pretty. And I've no doubt that's exactly how NBC sees it. Don't expect any apologies from NBC (in their world view, they won).

Expecting MSNBC to reprimand O'Donnell is a bit like expecting PETA to denounce Kerry for murdering a goose, or for the Communists to criticize Dan Rather for being biased.

It ain't gonna happen because Kerry is furthering their agenda. Kerry is a proven liar, a self-confessed murderer and a devoted communist. What's to criticize?

Not acceptable. In the course of one week, he’s offended viewers (and guests) at least three times with the lesbian thing, the Christian thing, then going out with a bang in that juvenile meltdown. Three strikes—you’re out.

Look, with a few hundred thousand viewers, they are at the bottom of the ghetto (cable news) and are basically a public service announcement outfit. Joe needs to move to FOX.

I would suspect if they had a "guest" like that, they would not ever ask them back. I would hope the standard for a "senior political analyst" would be at LEAST the same.

John O'Neil was shouted down by Carville and Begala on Crossfire, too. All part of a clear Dem pattern to intimidate and change the subject. Real Americans will have their chance to show these desperados like Comrade O'Donnell what they think of them and the traitor they support.
