I know that Al Hubbard was a Black Panthre ex, etc. But can anyone direct me to what happened to him through the remainder of the VVAW, the award that he received from the soviets, or further actions. Where is he now, if alive..
thanks.. _________________ said Democratic Chairman Terry McAuliffe. "It is inexcusable to mock service and sacrifice."

I think I read some time ago that Hubbard was living in Florida and had been offered a job with the Florida Kerry campaign. I will try to find the article. |

Thanks, i would appreciate it. I think i met him back in 71, and i have a vague memory of the activities to the mid 70's.
It would sure be odd for him to help with JFKgb's campaign. He's been trying to put distance between himself and Hubbard. I guess enough money will make him freindly.
The Communist party had their "Support for Kerry" at ( www.cpusa.org ) emblazoned pretty heavy. But somebody got to them, they pulled it off the site, as far as i can see. Relying now, only on "defeat Bush".
Pretty funny, too. They listed Kerry's support from foreign leaders. Cuba, N.Korea, and Vietnam. go figure. _________________ said Democratic Chairman Terry McAuliffe. "It is inexcusable to mock service and sacrifice."

John Musgrave, a disabled ex-marine from Baldwin City, Kan., who told The Kansas City Star that Mr. Kerry was at the meeting, said he got a call from John Hurley, the Kerry campaign's veterans coordinator.
"He said, `I'd like you to refresh your memory,' " Mr. Musgrave, 55, recounted in an interview, confirming an account he had given to The New York Sun. "He said it twice. `And call that reporter back and say you were mistaken about John Kerry being there.' "

Sounds right. Bet all Kerry's crew members gets calls on what to say. Wonder if it was Hurley who told Fred Short to say Kerry got shot and bleed on the deck of his swift boat at the convention? |
