I still have chills up and down my spine after reading the transcript to Ameristan, in part because I could see how this could happen. Warning, once you start reading, you will not stop until you are done.

Link to transcript
When the window pops up, type the word "password" to login. Pretty high security on that one LOL.

Quote:
The story you’re about to read is fiction, but it’s based on research, facts and some very real events. For instance, all of the following actually happened:

On June 25, 1991, Siraj Wahaj walked up the steps to the Capitol dome—symbol of the American people, their government and their freedom. He had proudly accepted the honor of being the first Muslim ever invited to deliver a daily invocation before the U.S. House of Representatives.

Wahaj was an African-American convert to Islam who worked with cops to clean up drug abuse in his tough Brooklyn neighborhood. Since converting in 1969, Wahaj had become an international speaker for Islamic causes, hosted a radio show and served on the advisory board for the American Muslim Council.

His smiling, cherubic face was set off by a gray-flecked black beard trimmed to a neat point several inches below his round chin. Wahaj stood before Congressmen, cited the Qur’an and prayed that the Almighty would guide American leaders and “grant them righteousness and wisdom.”

A little over a year later, addressing an audience of Muslims in New Jersey, Wahaj delivered a different message. If only Muslims were more politically clever, he said, they could take over the United States and replace its constitutional government with a caliphate – one Islamic commander wielding spiritual, temporal and military power over all.

“If we were united and strong, we’d elect our own emir and give allegiance to him,” Wahaj said. “If six to eight million Muslims unite in America, the country will come to us.”

In 1995, Wahaj testified as a character witness for Omar Abdel Raham in a trial that found that sheikh guilty of conspiracy to overthrow the United States government. The U.S. attorney for New York listed Wahaj as one of the unindicted persons who may have been co-conspirators in the plot.

During the summer of 2003, the Virginia-based Muslim American Society began building an influential voting bloc for the 2004 elections with a goal of “eventually seeing Muslim candidates on ballots for everything from city council to congressional seats,” according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press.

And in the spring of 2004, Attorney General John Ashcroft said “credible intelligence from multiple sources” revealed that al-Qaida’s Muslim extremists “are determined to launch an attack in the United States in the next few months.”

Those are “the facts on the ground,” as Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld was fond of saying.

What follows is make-believe.

But do not deceive yourself into thinking it couldn’t happen. The “Ameristan” movement might be underway at this very moment. It could be happening as we sleep.

Personally, I'm more concerned with another Liberal takeover of the government again. That one isn't fiction.

But, what coulds and maybes tend to stir up emotions. Haven't we been hearing the looney left all along saying what Bush "could" do and "may be" doing?

Sorry, but I see "articles" as this doing nothing more than trying to stir people up against someone the author doesn't care for much. It was done against Jews, Blacks and nearly every group of people in history.

Becoming the United Socialist States of America worries me much more than Ameristan.

Sorry Lee, but I am having a little bit of a hard time following your response. I think that the emotion you talk about stirring up would be a welcome event compared to the current one of forgetting that 911 even happened. A lot of people in this country, especially on the Left coast, I mean West Coast have no comprehension of what happened to this country on 911. "Articles", if by that you mean "screenplay", like this can serve as a reminder of just how vulnerable we are still today. The story, although fiction, does a good job of showing that we can not let our guard down.

BTW, how does an author of a sceenplay, soon to be movie, make him some kind of bigot for making a fictional movie about how Muslims take over America?

SBD, think for a minute that the author wrote his screenplay showing how Christians planned to take over the world based on White Separatists groups. They are a radical fringe, not the mainstream of Christianity.

Don't forget, Muslims are also dieing in Iraq and Afghanistan fighting these terrorists and are victims of the suicide bombings.

Same sentiment, different target...and this is the same spew being used TODAY by the anti-religious left.

I agree with Lew.

Excuse me, but I don't see fundamentalist Christians with bombs strapped to them blowing up innocent people in the name of Jesus.

I don't see those savage fundamentalist Christians cutting of other people's heads in the name of Jesus.

I don't see Fundamentalist Christians telling their wives they are less than human!!

I don't see Fundmentalist Christians celebrating the death of their children because they blew them selves up to kill the infadels.

Now, let's get to the Koran. A wonderful piece of fiction which has been proven to be fiction.

Read my post The Myth of Meccha and judge for yourself.

SBD, unless you are an ardent student of both the Bible and the Koran, you cannot accurately make that statement. Not every Muslim is a terrorist any more than every Christian is a member of the Ku Klux Klan. Has the Koran been misused to justify terrorism? Yes. Has the Bible been misused to denigrate and subject others? In the case of Blacks, Women, Jews and a few others, it most certainly has.

But, let's get back to your article.

Quote:
“If we were united and strong, we’d elect our own emir and give allegiance to him,” Wahaj said. “If six to eight million Muslims unite in America, the country will come to us.”

Besides the obvious unlikelyhood of this happening, what does it serve? Is the article/screenplay cautioning to be diligent of another terrorist attack? No. It's cautioning to be diligent of Muslims ELECTING someone they choose to be in the government. So, what is the next logical step? Bar American citizens that are Muslims from being allowed to vote? Isn't that reminiscent of what the left would like to do against Christians? Who else should be barred from voting? Jews? Blacks? Catholics? Women? Does religious beliefs become a litmus test for being allowed to register to vote?

Wasn't instilling the fear of Blacks taking over what was used for decades to bar them being allowed to vote? Wasn't one of the claims against Kennedy running for the Presidency in 1960 was that he was Catholic and against Leiberman running was because he is a Jew?

You may not see it, but it is not apples and oranges. It is a very slippery slope to start on that could eventually destroy the very freedoms we so cherish. I would much rather defeat the ones engaged in terrorism on the battlefield and defeat the looney left in the arena of ideas.

The way to defeat the radical arm of Islam is to instill the thought of freedom into the people, not block them from taking part in those freedoms.

There is one God and it is Allah.

There is one religion and it is Islam.

There is one world and it is Islamic and all people of the world must convert to Islam or die as infidels.

These are not my words they are the Prophet Mohammad's words as told to him by the Angel Gabriel in a cave near Mecca.

Before you write about the Quran and defend or dismiss the work, I suggest you read it for yourself as I did. Understand that each male believer has read the book from the time they could first read and they live their life according to the Quran.

Phantom, I have had a copy of the Qu' Ran for about 10 years now. I have been reading and studying the Bible for much longer.

It is not defending the Koran but defending freedoms of religion we enjoy. Is it freedom to bar a few? Who else do we bar? Mormons? Catholics? Jehovah's Witnesses? Jews?

If you believe Christianity has a peaceful past, look back at the Inquistions and the Crusades. Early Popes were amongst some of the most bloodthirsty and corrupt leaders ever.

Aren't Christians today engaged in proselytizing? Granted, they haven't been carrying out terrorist acts, but even Christianity has it's radical element.

But, back to SBD's article. All it does is try to instill the fear that Muslims are hellbent on electing some of their own into the government to takeover. We could take that further and claim it against any group we don't like and it has been stated about Christians from the looney left already.

If you agree Lew that the following quotes are accurate then one must analyze them.

There is one God and it is Allah.

Christians believe in Jesus as Lord and Savior. The Quran aknowledges the existence of Jesus and Mary but do not recognize him as the Son of God. This is acceptable to the American view of freedom of religion.

There is one religion and it is Islam.

This statement excludes all other religions as non-existent. This is what a true believer lives his life by and dismisses other religions as evil. This is not a tolerant attitude and contradicts our own Constitution.

There is one world and it is Islamic and all people of the world must convert to Islam or die as infidels.

An Infidel is simply a non-believer who must be converted or killed. This is a chilling thought that is embedded daily in the minds of young Muslim males in Islamic schools around the world.

So then we arrive at the statement, "Islam is a Religion of Peace".

Where in the entire Islamic world is it peaceful? Can you name me one Islamic country that is truly at peace, tolerant of their neighbors with different religions or views? What about naming a country in the Islamic world that does not have some undercurrent of support for Islamic terrorists?

I’m still looking for the one Islamic country that respects women as human beings and not a man’s property to be disposed of on a whim.

So Lew as you analyze the facts it is hard to argue for tolerance. Tolerance is a dangerous Christian attitude that blinds one to the facts, as they exist.

Islamic terrorists have a game plan for a Muslim only world with Christians, Jews, Hindus or Buddhists excluded.

There is one world and it is Islamic and all people of the world must convert to Islam or die as infidels.

This is one Infidel that will not roll over out of tolerance.

The scenario is not fiction at all. It is the goal of some militant Muslims in America.

Douglas Hooper, a/k/a “Ibrahim” Hooper (“Hooper”), CAIR's Director of Communications, also worked for the IAP before joining CAIR. He has stated: “I wouldn’t want to create the impression that I wouldn’t like the government of the United States to be Islamic sometime in the future…” Hooper has defended payments of bounties to the families of suicide bombers who kill Jews.

CAIR board member Imam Siraj Wahaj, an un-indicted co-conspirator in the first World Trade Center bombing, has called for replacing the American government with an Islamic caliphate, and warned that America will crumble unless it accepts Islam.

Anti-CAIR supports the peaceful practice of all religions. Its website states: “We are anti-Islamic terror and those organizations/individuals that support Islamic terrorist groups or people. We firmly believe that Islamic terrorists are religious perverts who are attempting to invoke the blessings of their version of ‘god’ to commit heinous crimes. We are neutral to all peaceful religions, including peaceful followers of Islam.”

The website further states that it is Anti-CAIR’s opinion “CAIR is not in the United States to promote the civil rights of Muslims. CAIR is here to make radical Islam the dominant religion in the United States and convert our country into an Islamic theocracy along the lines of Iran.”

http://anti-cair-net.org/Response.html

Thank God there are organizations like Anti-CAIR.
CAIR is busy trying to use our courts and laws against us.

In the probe of Al Qaeda cell near San Francisco CAIR was busy.

List of terrorism cases in the U.S.
Two arrested Muslims met with FBI and State Attorney at community meeting June 9, 2005

MIM: There goes the neighborhood :William Mayer, editor of Pipeline News, took these pictures in Lodi and is preparing a firsthand report of how a sleepy farmed town in California morphed from Lodi into Lodistan. "We don't want the new slogan to be, 'Come to Lodi, taste our wines and meet our terrorists,' " said Lodi Mayor John Beckman." A relative of one of the detainees, Usama Ismail, said

"It's been a really nice neighborhood, even after Sept. 11," Ismail said. "Now they're going to be saying, 'Terrorists are in Lodi.' "http://www.freep.com/news/nw/terror10e_20050610.htm

MIM: The Farooqui Islamic Center in Lodi's website laments that non Muslims don't understand them because they haven't gotten a chance "to learn about Islam directly from us". Their center aims to "serve this cause with full potential and confidence and security". Lucky that more arrests of Muslims have taken place in Lodi of mosque members believed to connected to Al Qaeda before non Muslims were given a lesson in Islam "directly" from them.

The Council on American Islamic Relations orchestrates these meetings under the guise of community relations. The catch is that the community relations CAIR envisions is that of Muslims being able to beat the rap when they get busted for terrorism by showing that they had been rubbing elbows with law enforcement officials only months befor

A CAIR spokesman voiced his groups dismay that the fraternising with the enemy ' entrapment' scenario CAIR, orchestrated had not worked as well as they had anticipated for the Muslims in Lodi.

Phantom, you have not supplied the appropriate Surah for your quotes. However, let's look towards our own Bible as if we weren't Christians and see how words in it could frighten the non-Christian. (Taken from the RSV )

There is one God and it is Allah.

Exodus 20: 1 And God spoke all these words, saying, 2 "I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. 3 "You shall have no other gods before me.

Deuteronomy 6:4 "Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD; 5 and you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might. 6 And these words which I command you this day shall be upon your heart; 7 and you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. 8 And you shall bind them as a sign upon your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. 9 And you shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

Mark 12: 29 Jesus answered, "The first is, 'Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one; 30 and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.'

There is one religion and it is Islam.

Matthew 7:21 "Not every one who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

Ephesians 4: 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call, 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of us all, who is above all and through all and in all. 7 But grace was given to each of us according to the measure of Christ's gift. 8 Therefore it is said, "When he ascended on high he led a host of captives, and he gave gifts to men." 9 (In saying, "He ascended," what does it mean but that he had also descended into the lower parts of the earth? 10 He who descended is he who also ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things.) 11 And his gifts were that some should be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, 12 to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, 13 until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ; 14 so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the cunning of men, by their craftiness in deceitful wiles.

There is one world and it is Islamic and all people of the world must convert to Islam or die as infidels.

Deuteronomy 7:16 And you shall destroy all the peoples that the LORD your God will give over to you, your eye shall not pity them; neither shall you serve their gods, for that would be a snare to you.

Zechariah 14: 12 And this shall be the plague with which the LORD will smite all the peoples that wage war against Jerusalem: their flesh shall rot while they are still on their feet, their eyes shall rot in their sockets, and their tongues shall rot in their mouths.

James 4:4 Unfaithful creatures! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.

Hebrews 10:26 For if we sin deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a fearful prospect of judgment, and a fury of fire which will consume the adversaries. 28 A man who has violated the law of Moses dies without mercy at the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 How much worse punishment do you think will be deserved by the man who has spurned the Son of God, and profaned the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and outraged the Spirit of grace?

Now, we realize a lot of this is merely Biblical history, but to those of another faith, the words could be twisted to indicate the "brutality" of Christianity. Indeed, in times past, many of these same words were used to justify tortures and mistreatment of peoples. Prior to the time of Martin Luther, it was the death penalty for even having a copy of the Sacred Scripts that became known as the Bible.

All that being said, you continue to sway the thread away from the scenario of a "fictional" screenplay that I feel incites others against Muslims that could result in their denial of voting rights. In fact, you haven't mentioned the screenplay once, just the Koran.

For you and NYCnative both, I'll ask again, do we take American citizens that are also Muslims and deny them their rights as a citizen to vote? Do the words of what one persons preferences are to the government mean all of those who share his view shall no longer be allowed to vote?

Do we then extend that to others who disagree with how we prefer the government to be? Does not the Liberal arm of the Democrats today want the government to have different appearance and makeup than it currently does? Do we deny them their right to vote? Or, do we engage them in debate and campaigns to show our way is preferable?

Liberals are crying how we need to change the government. Communist are crying how we need to change the government. Ecologists are crying we need to change the government. Far Right Christians cry we need to change the government. Conservatives cried that we needed to change the government and elected a slight majority to attempt that and still cling to a very slight majority. But, we nearly panic because a few Muslims make the same call.

It reminds me of growing up in the South and how Blacks were denied the vote because they wanted to "change" things. Sorry, but I cannot recall any prominent Muslims in the Congress as of yet. Still, we panic because they might wish representation as well.

Our system of government precludes any complete takeover by any group. The American people have never and will never totally agree on one view of representation. Therefore, our government being totally of one view, be it Liberal, Conservative, Muslim, Christian or whatever, cannot happen.

Now, a word of caution. This thread is dangerously close to being locked. Religious debates often result in major flame wars and if this thread turns into a religious debate, instead of a discussion over a "fictional" scenario and screenplay, it is going to be locked. Unfortunately, throughout history, religion has been misused to elevate some into power and dominate the masses. Those few that misuse it cause great harm and panic in others and lead us to believe all of that belief may be the same.

Ecclesiastes 8:9 All this I observed while applying my mind to all that is done under the sun, while man lords it over man to his hurt.

As stated earlier, this thread is about a "fictional" account of a screenplay. Wholesale bashing of any religion will not be tolerated.

Due to continued bashing of a religion, this thread will be locked now.
