This Editorial page has been plagued of late by writings hypercritical of President Bush and the Administration. The detractors whine assortedly about wars on terrorism and Iraq, homeland security, Veterans Administration funding and a plethora of other issues. There is but one common thread among these rants and that is the replacement of Mr. Bush and election of John Kerry.

Before we decide to jump ship, let’s check out our new best buddies on this cruise. Kerry supporters as of 5 August 2004 include: Chinese Communist Leadership, the Communist head of North Korea Kim Jong Il, The Communist Party USA, The Democratic Socialists of America, NAMBLA (The North American Man/Boy Love Association. The fun loving guys just wanting sex with your adolescent sons), Anti-War Protesters (Who are America's "true patriots," per Teresa Kerry. But nothing good to say about our troops fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq), The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) whose Executive Director Nihad Awad supports Hamas, the worst Nicaraguan Sandinista Communist Commandante Tómas Borge, and, lastly, no list is complete without the coagulation of slack-jawed, knuckle-draggers from Hollywood.

Should this grand harmonic convergence of all the world’s cretins be your idea of desirable companionship, knock yourselves out! You are known by the company you keep.

Wonderful letter! Unfortunately, only the left seems to have anything worth listening to. We are, after all, the people who were not intellectually gifted enough to stay out of the military in time of war.
