Join U-Haul in Saluting Soldier Ride 2006
as They Cycle from Tempe to Scottsdale

PHOENIX (July 18, 2006) — Phoenix-based U-Haul Company is reaching out to the Valley for support in saluting Soldier Ride 2006, as they cycle from Tempe to Scottsdale on Saturday, July 22, 2006. The Soldier Ride 2006 bicycle journey across the country started in New York back in May of this year and ends in California. These soldiers cycling across the country have recently been injured in war. Soldier Ride recognizes the incredible sacrifices these soldiers have made and the event raises public awareness and support for the wounded and their families. Donations support the programs and services of Soldier Ride and its partner charity, the Wounded Warrior Project, which provide comfort and aid, counseling, rehabilitation and family assistance to the wounded during their hospital recovery and readjustment to civilian life.

U-Haul has partnered with ArtSpace, Calvin Charles Art Gallery, Energy 92.7/101.1 radio station, Mega 104.3 radio station, the City of Scottsdale and the Cortiva Institute/Phoenix Therapeutic Massage College in promoting and sponsoring the event on Saturday, July 22, 2006. The cycle begins at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe and ends in Old Town Scottsdale at ArtSpace and Calvin Charles Art Gallery located on Marshall Way and 2nd Avenue.

A barbecue, including hamburgers, hot dogs, coleslaw, southwest ranch beans and beverages, will be provided to the public for a $10 donation to Soldier Ride (first come/first served basis). Energy (92.7/101.1) radio station will kick-off the ride with promotions and giveaway items at Sun Devil Stadium. Radio Station Mega (104.3) will be providing music and giveaway items during the finale event in Old Town Scottsdale and Miss USO 2005 will be performing at the Calvin Charles Art Gallery. In addition, enjoy video coverage of Soldier Ride 2006 at ArtSpace, make a donation to Soldier Ride to receive a massage from Cortiva Institute/Phoenix Therapeutic Massage College, enter a raffle to win fabulous prizes and much more. All donations made on Saturday to Soldier Ride will be matched dollar for dollar by U-Haul.

Please join us in saluting and meeting these real-life heroes.
