To simply lock my posts and attack me personally rather than discuss what you perceive is the fault of my argument is what you are fighting against.

I support the right of the Swift Boat Vets to express their opinion, their forum should allow me to express mine.

Because I have chosen a different leader and do not want to reward the current one with another 4 years does not make me the enemy. I have always supported the rights of others to post on dnc. org. (I went to the rnc.org first, but they don't have one, neither did georgewbush.com or whitehouse.gov). I tried the Free Republic and they just dissed me out right.

No but after reading the 71 senate testimony and the Cavett debate and you still support Kerry you are no freind of the veteran community.

I typically make it a point not to feed into trolling posts, but I think I'll make an exception in this case.

You are making a mistake in your understanding of your first ammendment rights. The 1st Ammendment protects your right to speak your mind from the Federal Government. It does not however dictate that individuals have any responsibility to listen. The fact of the matter is that there are a number of men that have fought dearly for their right to speak out, and they are using this right out of a profound belief that your chosen "leader" is unfit to be Commander in Chief, would be catastrophic to our nation, and they have put their names, time and reputations on the line to ensure that American soldiers never have to call your chosen "leader" by the honorific 'Sir' or "President".

You can support their right to speak best by allowing them to speak without interruption, propaganda or nit-picking of details. These men and the contributors to this site have put their time and money into this campaign and into this site, and as such, have every right to state their case without you getting in the way and trying to subvert their message from the inside.

If you want to express your views of why Kerry would make a better President, then sign up for your own website, pay for it out of your pocket, and determine how you want to police it. If you do this, I'll be more than happy to come onto your site and undermine your message at your convenience.

What about all the veterans that support the Kerry campaign. They are still your friends.

I wasn't even born yet. But I have read the debates and the senate testimony. Kerry was obviously over the top. He was young, he made mistakes and this is the reason why so many veterans do no support him.

But remember to solely blame the sentiment of an entire nation at that time on Kerry is unjust. Kerry only gave words to what the nation was feeling. He felt that the war was being fought for the wrong reason and that lives were being lost for unnecessarily. He did indeed go over the top with the war crimes claim but that was to stress his main point.

He was in his late twenties (well past the age of majority), and the mistake he made was lying for personal political gain.

Is this how you treat independent voters who supports Kerry? Is this how you would treat a veteran who supports Kerry ? I am leaving this site as you request.

God bless you and good day. Remember, regardless of who wins this election 1) let you voices be heard, 2) unite the nation again, 3) unite the world in this global war on terror.

If you feel that Kerry lied for political gain, then you must admit (I will not mention names), that all politicians lie for political gains. They mis-lead, they stretch, they coverup.

Perhaps, but I've never been much of a fan of that sort of moral relativism.

I was raised "two wrongs don't make a right."

And it's not just that he lied that matters to the vets -- and they've made it clear on this site many times -- what matters the most is what he said when he lied.

Spare us. The only one who has injected the word "enemy" into this dialogue is YOU. I'm sure you have the appropriate "logical fallicies" link available to enlighten us with in that regard...how 'bout "strawman" or "red herring" (I never can remember the distinction). What's next, have we stopped beating our wives?

You want to defend Kerry? Be our guest.

You want to couch your defense in trashing Bush, that's your prerogative as well...only not in this forum.
