Next time? In your dreams you insipid, inane loser. Even your wife's gazillions couldn't talk democrats into that level of political lunacy...but the thought of "Son of Swiftvets & POWs" does have a certain appeal. There's LOTS of unfinished business Johnny-boy...

WEB EXTRA / Kerry says he’ll be ready next time
By TOM BENNER
Patriot Ledger State House Bureau
November 05, 2007

RANDOLPH n John Kerry said Monday there might be a next time for his presidential aspirations, and if there is, the 63-year-old U.S. senator from Massachusetts says he’ll be ready for the political torpedoes that helped sink his 2004 White House bid.

Kerry, whose service as a U.S. Navy Swift boat skipper during the Vietnam War came under attack in his race against President Bush, said he has compiled a dossier on his war record critics that he wishes he had as the Democratic presidential nominee.

``We have put together a documented portfolio that frankly puts their lies in such a total light of absurdity and indecency, that should they ever rear their ugly heads again, we have every single ‘t’ crossed and ‘i’ dotted, and I welcome that in a sense,'' Kerry said following a morning address to the South Shore Chamber fo Commerce. ``It’s a shame we weren’t able to produce all that at the time.''

Kerry said he regrets his slowness to counter accusations from the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, which faulted Kerry’s war record and his subsequent anti-war activism.

``I think the bigger problem was the campaign should have spent more money putting the truth out there,'' Kerry said. ``I think there was an assumption that is was out there, it was sufficiently out there.''

While Kerry is sitting out the 2008 presidential election n he’s instead focusing on his own his race next year for a sixth term as U.S. senator n he expects he’d be dogged by the same war record critics in a subsequent race for the White House.

``I have no doubt at all that some of the people involved on the other side don’t care about the truth, think nothing about distorting it, will not hesitate to say and do whatever they think is necessary to win,'' Kerry said. ``But I think we are now much more prepared and savvy about those kind of things, and certainly in my own involvement, I will make certain that people don’t get away with that.''

<snip>

Kerry said he regretted that the term ``swift boating'' has taken on the meaning of a political attack, but that such attacks have become a part of national politics.

``I hate to see the term become a negative term in American politics, it is what is is,'' he said. ``Would those same tactics be used against people? Sure, absolutely.''

That particular bit of vacuous spin wouldn't get past even the dopiest of journalism school aspirants, yet these jackasses who pose as "journalists" cling to that mantra with a pseudo-intellectual death grip that would do Goebbels proud.

Nope....the next time sKerry chimes up with his now famous "Howdy, reporting for Doody" cartoon character, he'll meet the same 'enthusiasm' he got the last time. Once a KGB Stooge, always a KGB Stooge. What woulda coulda shoulda been the country's first shoe-in Socialist President without all the "Do you know who I ams", given our media's current bias. Instead, he became the laughing stock of the Democrat party. And an easy target (not to take ANYTHING away from group present) for SVPT, FReeps, etc....I for one can't wait for another year of entertainment that would bring....and I'm counting on some interesting Boston reading next year anyway!

Just Wait Till Next Time . . .
We'll bet John O'Neill is losing sleep over this report in the Patriot Ledger of Quincy, Mass.:
John Kerry* said Monday there might be a next time for his presidential aspirations, and if there is, the 63-year-old U.S. senator from Massachusetts says he'll be ready for the political torpedoes that helped sink his 2004 White House bid. . .

"We have put together a documented portfolio that frankly puts their lies in such a total light of absurdity and indecency, that should they ever rear their ugly heads again, we have every single 't' crossed and 'i' dotted, and I welcome that in a sense," Kerry said following a morning address to the South Shore Chamber fo [sic] Commerce. "It's a shame we weren't able to produce all that at the time." . . .

"I think the bigger problem was the campaign should have spent more money putting the truth out there," Kerry said. "I think there was an assumption that is was out there, it was sufficiently out there." . . .

"I have no doubt at all that some of the people involved on the other side don't care about the truth, think nothing about distorting it, will not hesitate to say and do whatever they think is necessary to win," Kerry said. "But I think we are now much more prepared and savvy about those kind of things, and certainly in my own involvement, I will make certain that people don't get away with that."
When a reader passed this along yesterday afternoon--just over three years after Kerry lost the 2004 election--we laughed out loud. Somehow it never gets old! Say what you will about Kerry, he is a never-ending source of joy to your humble columnist. May he live long. (If he makes good on his threat to run for president in 2016, he will be 73 by Inauguration Day.)

It occurred to us, too, that this is a great example of the point we made yesterday about Hillary Clinton--namely, that her whining about being criticized is entirely typical for Democratic politicians, and her sex is incidental. Kerry is acting exactly like "a whiny daughter who's had her Barbie taken away," in Howard Kurtz's memorable phrase.

Kerry reminds us of another figure who has been back in the news recently. To see why, recall what he said in 1971 about his fellow servicemen:
They had personally raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, taped wires from portable telephones to human genitals and turned up the power, cut off limbs, blown up bodies, randomly shot at civilians, razed villages in fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan, shot cattle and dogs for fun, poisoned food stocks, and generally ravaged the countryside of South Vietnam in addition to the normal ravage of war, and the normal and very particular ravaging which is done by the applied bombing power of this country.
Kerry rose to prominence by waging a smear campaign against those who served in Vietnam, and he is spending his twilight years telling anyone who'll listen that they are smearing him. Sort of like Anita Hill.

He sure has been slow to respond.......he still hasn't.

I can't wait to find out when he was in Cambodia and who were his witnesses that verified the enemy fire for the 1st PH. The two Kerry supporters who claimed to be in the boat with him said they couldn't confirm it.

Or the meeting in KC where the murder of US senators was discussed.

Or the........Oh well you get the idea

John Kerry: I'm Now Prepared to Fight Off Swift Boat Veterans
Tuesday, November 06, 2007

Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry, perhaps preparing to get back into the presidential ring one day, claims he's now armed with materials that will make war record critics from his 2004 presidential campaign go running tail between legs.

The 63-year-old Democratic senator told The Patriot-Ledger on Tuesday that the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, a group of Navy servicemen who served with Kerry and criticized his record in Vietnam, will be revealed as liars.

I'd kinda like to see Commie Johnny try to get into the race.

The Clinton spin machine and esp. Hitlary [no spelling error] would trash him in a heartbeat. They possibly would expose him for and hang him out to dry. That would be a coup de ta.

I'd pay for that one.

Commie Johnny is out of the closet!!!!!

WHOAH! Mr. Benner knows a good thing when he pens it! To his very great credit, here's a followup from him on the reaction to his story...

Quote:
Kerry’s critics swing back
By TOM BENNER
Patriot Ledger State House Bureau

Tuesday, November 06, 2007

BOSTON - A liar. A traitor. Hanoi John.

U.S. Sen. John Kerry’s comments on Monday regarding a possible future bid for the presidency, and his arming up against the group Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, are reopening old wounds from the Vietnam War and the 2004 presidential race.

``He’s a liar,'' said J. Craig Herman of Pahoa, Hawaii, a former U.S. naval officer and registered Republican. ``Real heroes and real Navy officers do not not waltz around with a ... camera taking pictures of themselves on duty.''

While some veterans question Kerry’s military decorations and fault his subsequent actions as a anti-Vietnam War protester, other others say they just never warmed to the Massachusetts Democrat’s personal style.

``There’s something weasely about him,'' said Elliot Olson, a self-described independent voter from Minneapolis. ``You can compare him to Bill Clinton, but with Clinton you know what you’re getting.''

The 63-year-old Kerry said Monday that he might run for president again, perhaps in 2012. He also said he has compiled a dossier on his critics at Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, a group that dogged Kerry in the 2004 race.

The comments, reprinted on political blogs including drudgereport.com, opinionjournal.com and lucianne.com, prompted hundreds of e-mails critical of the Vietnam veteran turned war protestor turned politician.

``I see John Kerry as a traitor to this country,'' said Stephen Chudej of Plano, Texas, who describes himself as a political independent. `` I think what he did was treachery and treason.''

During the 2004 campaign, the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth accused Kerry of embellishing his military service to further his political career, a view that seems right to Tom Mustin of Coronada, Calif., a former Navy lieutenant commander who says he has no involvement with the Swift boat group.

``You don’t get that kind of reaction from your comrades in arms because they’re in a different political party,'' said Mustin, a registered Republican. ``It’s the way he tried to amplify what he did and create a war hero record for himself. That’s very offensive to me.''

Others faulted Kerry for failing to sign a waiver allowing the Navy to release his military records during the 2004 campaign.

``It was such a simple thing for him to do, he could have deflated the whole Swift boat attacks,'' said Terry Baugh of San Diego, a registered Republican.

Democrat Mark Keaney of Pensacola, Fla., a retired Navy pilot commander, said: ``Until Kerry releases his total military record, there can be no discussion about his past or his future.''

While Kerry ultimately did sign a waiver n in 2005, after the presidential election n the information remains available only to members of the media and not the general public, critics charge. They’d also like to see Kerry’s journal and self-made films covering his Vietnam service.

John O’Neill of Houston, a cofounder of Swift Boat Veterans for Truth and author of the 2004 book ``Unfit for Command,'' said Kerry can’t refute his own words from 1971 in which he condemned fellow Vietnam soldiers.

``He portrayed us as a group of brutish thugs savaging a nation, and that simply isn’t what happened,'' O’Neill said. ``I think what he should do is apologize for the remarks he made with respect to war crimes, to the people who served in Vietnam, and the relatives and friends of the people who died there. Those remarks were vicious, unfounded and untrue.''

Kerry has long maintained the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth are backed by Republican groups and accuses them of a smear campaign.

On Monday, Kerry said: ``I have no doubt at all that some of the people involved on the other side don’t care about the truth, think nothing about distorting it, will not hesitate to say and do whatever they think is necessary to win. But I think we are now much more prepared and savvy about those kind of things, and certainly in my own involvement, I will make certain that people don’t get away with that.''

Kerry aide David Wade said Tuesday in a prepared statement: ``What was true in 1969 and true in 2004 is still true today: Sen. Kerry served his country with honor, and the right wing was disgustingly wrong to smear a decorated combat veteran. An assault on one veterans’ service is an attack on all veterans.''

Kerry’s staff noted his military records were posted on his campaign web site in 2004 as well on the following site: http://news.findlaw.com/legalnews/lit/election2004/docs.html

I guess fighter jet pilots from the Texas Air National Guard sre not covered in that? Or, over 250 highly decorated Viet Nam Veterans that sKerry now claims to have "compiled a dossiers" on?

That is what I like about the left. He could have easily disproven the guys wrong, if they were, by simply making his own "dossier" public. He refused and still does. So instead of taking the easy way, he digs around and claims to have dirt on everyone.

Typical left-winged mudslinging.

No need to sling mud, just allow John Q. Public access to the records, as they demanded Bush do, and who complied.

Be prepared for even more of this nonsense as our modern day Bolshevik party fights harder and harder to recreate the Soviet Union here.

The bottom line is simple. no matter what dossiers he collects and what intimidation tactics he uses, the facts are simple.

Kerry: I have been to Paris. I have talked with both delegations at the peace talks, that is to say the Democratic Republic of Vietnam and the Provisional Revolutionary Government...

(Above colored RED for you know who Mad )

The Constitution that HE SWORE to uphold and Protect:

UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION
Amendment XIV
Section 3. No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.

I have never heard of a vote in Congress to remove his disability.

He has not only defamed the vet's, but defiled the Honor, and Heritage of this Country also.

Not to mention, that him going to Paris, he was still inthe Reserves, not a private citizen, which again is un-lawful for a private citizen to act as a representitive of this Country.I forgot the particulars, but that is a BIG one.

Traitor John,
Once a traitor, always a traitor.

Kerry'll never run again. Even the other liberals can see that.
All Lurch is good for now is empty puffing and swaggering with an occasional empty boast.
The world knows we deflated his balloon. He's the only one who doesn't want to admit it.
