When did Liberals like Kerry and Obama ever do anything that made sense? They commit political suicide at every move. The problem is, most Americans are so into "reality TV", they enjoy the show and don't care that the country is going down the drain as a direct result. Besides, from what I've seen, Obama doesn't have much of a mind to lose. |

Well, T.Boone has told Kerry's BOB what they can do with his latest bit of rehab/political theatre...and it ain't take it to the bank...

Dallas billionaire T. Boone Pickens has rejected contentions from 10 men who served in Vietnam with John Kerry that information in the controversial Swift Boat campaign during the 2004 presidential race was false.
That means the men won't be paid the $1 million that Mr. Pickens offered last fall to anyone who could prove that the anti-Kerry ads – which he helped bankroll – contained falsehoods.
"Unfortunately, key aspects of my offer of $1 million have not been accurately reported," Mr. Pickens wrote in a letter to the crewmen. "My offer, reiterated in a letter to Senator Kerry not long after the challenge was made, was to pay $1 million for information that would prove any of the ads – which I helped fund – inaccurate. In reviewing your material, none of the information you provide speaks specifically to the issues contained in the ads."
Conservative blogs reporting on his offer last fall described it as applying to anything Swift Boat Veterans for Truth said, not just the group's TV ads.
"I guess now we know the 'T' in T. Boone doesn't stand for 'truth,' " said Del Sandusky, one of the crewmen. "I really hoped we could've taken him at his word. ... We won't rest until he admits the truth that he bankrolled a big lie."
The ads focused on Mr. Kerry's anti-war activities after his tour of duty and the merits of his medals for heroism. They were considered a key factor in his loss to President Bush.
Last Thursday, the crewmates sent a letter to Mr. Pickens accepting the challenge and provided documentation. They offered to provide even more and requested that Mr. Pickens give the $1 million to a veterans group of their choice.

I believe Kerry is beginning to get a taste of the judgement of history.
Bon appetite Jean fraud.

Perhaps they should be more careful with this one. Many won't rest until their boy is fully exposed as the phony he is.
And still, all Kerry ever needed to do was a full and unfettered public review of his records, especially for his "Reserve" time until the discharge he posted from 1978.
Letting three friendly reporters review records doesn't settle the issue. _________________ Clark County Conservative |

As Mother Theresa is no longer available for comment and in the finest investigative journalism tradition of Ted Koppel, Kerry and ABC News have turned to an impeccable source on character and honor, Vegas gambling expert and oddsmaker Ben Eckstein who speaks to the "sanctity" of a wager...

Did T. Boone Pickens Change the Rules Mid-Game? Vets Say Yes

A Vegas gambling expert counts himself among those questioning Texas billionaire T. Boone Pickens' refusal to pay $1 million to Swift boat veterans who claim they won Pickens' challenge to disprove political claims he made in 2004.
Agreeing with the veterans, oddsmaker Ben Eckstein says that failing to deliver on a bet is "sacrilegious." "In the world of betting and gambling, your word is your bond," said Eckstein, president of America's Line, a sports and entertainment oddsmaking business. "Whether it's a $7 bet or a $500,000 bet, once it's made and once you shake on it, it should be done."
<snip>
Sanudsky (sic) added that while his group has come up with "everything Pickens asked Kerry for in November," it has all been for nothing.
Betting expert Eckstein told ABCNews.com that if Pickens is found to be going back on his word, he would be guilty of committing "the lowest act on the gambling totem pole."
"This sort of thing should never happen," Eckstein said of gamblers who go back on their bets. "And if someone does, they should be very, very upset -- especially if the other party gave their word."
True to Eckstein's predictions, Sanudsky (sic) and the rest of the veterans supporting Kerry are very upset -- and vow to keep trying to force Pickens to cough up the money.
"Where we come from, your word is your bond," Sanudsky (sic) said. "Mr. Pickens hasn't heard the last from us.

Has anyone seen the "evidence" the BOB presented? What assertions have been "proven" false? It still appears to be a repeat of empty claims of proving the assertions false without presenting any trustworthy proof. Why not publish the "proof" alongside the assertions and let the public decide...of course that proof would have to be unedited, original documentation obtained via the signed SF180, and that will happen when

It would appear that Mr. Pickens has grounds for a libel suit against several folks at this point, including the gambling "expert". Can you imagine the fun the lawyers would have during "discovery"? |

IMHO, it is considerably more complex with, as I recall, debatable strawmen aplenty...and I have read it. That being said, no one should be drawn into a debate on the substance or merits of their contentions until Kerry honors his oft-promised (and never fulfilled) unconditional release to the public of his military records.
Correction: A link to a PDF copy of their letter is available in a related commentary at Huffington Post. PM me if you want the link. I'll not publish it here. |

Why not force the issue once and for all? First, John Kerry allows Mr. Pickens UNFETTERED access to ALL his military records: sign the SF180. Next, John Kerry --- NOT HIS BOB SURROGATES -- must go through the entire list of accusations/claims/insinuations, whatever anyone wants to call them, and then sign his name next to each one that he admits is true with a statement of admission so stating. This should be witnessed and even notarized. Those will be published in all the major newspapers, be the lead story on all the 6:00 and 10:00 news programs for a month as well as on all the talking head shows, Sunday morning shows, blah, blah, blah, and then archived permanently in a location accessible by the public...forever.
NOW
After all that is out of the way, "what were your other concerns, Lt. Kerry?....hmmmm?" _________________ Find the perfect babysitter, petsitter, or tutor -- today! |

they submitted videos and editorials???
editorials as proof of what?
they probably sent the same 'ol Kerry manipulated
docs that they tried to use during the campaign.
If they had the info - they would have used it back
then - to make him POTUS.
wouldn't put it out there for POTUS, but will for 1
million?
give me a break!
anyone remember Pickens exact words? I saw him
on TV saying it - but that was just talking to
Cavuto. not the real 'challenge'. I don't remember
his exact words either. makes sense it would be
for the ads tho. _________________ Stevie
