Juan Williams will not lilkely ever make the trip back to reality--even if you placed a pack of C4 up his posterior orifice. I think FOX retains him more as the "village idiot", rather than as a serious commentator. The man's viewpoints are often so devoid of factual reference, or else his "facts" are typically so removed from thier original context, as to be absurd. The inane drivel of Williams is put further into perspective when one considers the approach of his fellow NPR traveler--Mara L.-- at least she speaks intelligently, and seems credible at times. In short Juan Williams behaves like a perfect ass.

It's Jane Hall, not Jane Skinner. Jane Skinner is a Fox news personality, I think. I see her interacting with Shep Smith. Let's not tar the wrong person. |

My mistake.  Of course, Jane Skinner is the lady that appears on the Fox Report with Shepard Smith - he calls the segment "Skinnerville" (or used to).

factcheck.org is extremely well respected, it is vital that people from the SBVFT organization communicate well with these people. |

If you read the whole article on factcheck.org, it makes it clear that they really don't know what to believe.
The article itself is a lot of "he said", "she said" using the government citations as evidence. It does not make it clear that the accuracy of the government citations are exactly what is disputed.
The tone is definitely anti-SBVFT, but their conclusion is pretty indecisive.
I wrote a note complaining to newswatch that Gabler says 1) factcheck.org proves the SBVFT are lying and then immediately after says that the Bush campaign assumes the press won't bother to check up on their facts.
I then check Gabler's facts and factcheck.org says nothing close to what Gabler says it does.
There is something really creepy about how some people are reacting to this.
Jane Hall referring to the Boston Globe story when she simply HAD TO KNOW that it was IMMEDIATELY and DECISIVELY disputed. She had to know that the author was directly related to the Kerry campaign...
She knows this but whips it out when someone asks her why she doesn't believe the swiftboat vets. She says something that she has to know it quite useless in making her point!
Just weird. It's like that they kind of think it really is true and just don't want to know about it. I have never heard of someone using plausible deniability for their own personal conclusions!!
Doesn't one usually use plausible deniability for other people?
Just strange. Very strange.

Regarding Cambodia, Brit Hume declares "SWIFTVETS WERE RIGHT about THIS..." (and thus they increase their legitamcy under scrutiny) To paraphrase, Hume describes 'UNFIT FOR COMMAND' as a well-documented and thorough piece of research.
Hume makes the point that since Kerry has made his Vietnam "service" (and not his lousy liberal senate record) to be the premise of judging his character, then the SWIFTVETS have a legitimate case to make.
There was a consensus that the story has legs...
TURN UP THE HEAT AND PUSH HARD GUYS... DRIVE THE GRITTY FACTS RIGHT THROUGH THE KERRY MACHINERY... THIS LYING TRAITOR IS GOING TO BE DESTROYED BY HIS OWN WORDS.
