Stopped by the Mall today for something else and checked at
Waldenbooks while I was at it. Waldenbooks has it right up front
with the rest of the Bestsellers.

I'm listening to Hugh Hewitt's show from Friday and John O'Neill said that he thinks the publisher has printed nearly a quarter of a million copies because the demand is so high!
I think he said the book was either in it's fourth or sixth print run.
Very good interview - you can listen to it here until Monday's show begins:

I went to my local Borders today to see if they had it. When i walked in on the front table was Al Franken's " lying liers and the..." and Tommy Franks book and some new non fiction, on the table behind was practically every Bush hating book written in the last 8 mos and Clinton loving books. On the same table there it was "Dude , Where's my Country?" by Michael Moore. I was so mad.
I went to a young man working at the info desk i thought when i asked him about "Unfit for Command i was going to get the look of Death from him but he was very nice when i asked and i calmed down.
He said they had a list going that was getting really long and i asked if they were sure they would have enough if there was that long a list. He said "Oh Yeah , This is Big. We have at least 2 people an hour in here looking for it."
I did get a copy today from Walden's. They don't have enough to put on the shelf because so many people asked to hold a copy for them when it came in. Walden's is expecting another shipment Thursday. _________________ Enlighten the people, generally, and tyranny and oppressions of body and mind will vanish like spirits at the dawn of day.

I stopped by Borders this afternoon and found the book. There were only three copies left. The clerk commented "Oh we do have it. Alot of people are asking for it." I said "good."

Has anyone considered libraries? Typically, librarians decide what to put on the shelves. Many won't be anxious to purchase an anti-Kerry book -- but they virtually never turn down donated works. A fund to get 5 copies into libraries?
What about a paperback run and a fund to give them away as widely as possible? Door-to-door offering them to folks in key areas of swing states? _________________ --Mona-- |

Barnes & Noble in the Twin Cities said I'll get mine Sept 1st -- but that it "could be" available sooner. I keep calling them.... |

You all need to periodically check amazon and http://www.bn.com and make sure to recommend other anti-Kerry or pro-Bush books. Looks like DU is starting to sting us. |

I seldom read a book twice. When I break down and get a hard cover
I donate it to the local library when I'm done with it. In the case of
"Unfit For Command" the idea is to get it into as many hands as
possible. Debbie, my Librarian, is a motorcycle riding conservative
who will put it out in a heartbeat. I've donated Rush's books too.

Unfortuantely the #1 best seller is impossible to buy from Barnes and Noble. Since the book was announced the B&N web site has delayed shipping the book and now uses the excuse out of stock and readers have to wait 1-2 weeks. B&N also does not show Unfit for Command as a #1 best seller, I have learned that B&N. media, and politicians will do everything in their power to prevent the sale and distribution of Unfit for Command, try getting a copy from your local library you may be surprised to learn that every pro Kerry book has been ordered and is available.
The NY Times has failed to even acknowledge Unfit for Command and place it on its best seller listing.
I now know first hand what commentators have said about the liberal bias and how it affects the every day man and woman on the street.
All the swift boat veterans are trying to do is tell their side of the John Kerry Vietnam story and present the proof while John Kerry still refuses to release his military and medical records and journal(s) to resolve the difference of opinions. |

I too went to Barnes and Noble. Nothing. But it sounds like alot of people are asking for it.
Last week I was reading the message boards on the Kerry-Edwards website. The book has hit a nerve there. The people posting are encouraging each other to go to their bookstores and hide our book behind anti-Busy and pro-Kerry books.
So much for the First Amendment. It seems to only apply to them. They might not be burning books, but hiding them is a close second. These are the same folks that are going to try to screw over the GOP convention--they are scared to death of free speech.
Oh, the irony. |
