According to RADM Hoffman, there have been over 8,000 contributions - from $25 to the $100,000 donation that the media has pounced upon. (Really stands up to George Soros' $75,000,000, eh? )
Factcheck's integrity and credibility is now seriously compromised and I would expect a more balanced review of the facts to appear on their site, soon. _________________ ~ Echo Juliet ~

Yep folks its over because fartcheck says so. |
No, it's far from over. Keep fighting; ignore the mainstream press spin.

From the FoxNews.com bio of Jane Hall (a nice list of liberal credentials for such a "right wing media outlet" wouldn't you say?)
********
Jane Hall is a Fox News Channel contributor and a weekly panelist on Fox News Watch.
Hall is also an assistant professor in the School of Communication at American University and is a nationally recognized expert in politics and the media, ethics in journalism and other topics relating to issues in the news media.
Hall also has been editor-in-chief of the business magazine View, a staff writer at TV Guide magazine and an associate editor at People magazine. She has published articles for Freedom Forum Media Studies, George magazine and American Film.
Hall is interviewed frequently on TV and radio (including The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer, Charlie Rose, CBS This Morning and National Public Radio) and has moderated panels on issues in journalism at Columbia University and the Center for Communications in New York.
Hall is a native of Abilene, Texas. She attended Mills College in Oakland, California, from 1968 to 1970 and received a B.A. degree in English from the University of Texas in 1972. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and also holds a master's degree in journalism from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism in New York.
*******************
She teaches a large undergraduate course at American University called How the News Media Shape History. It's a popular course that examines the influence of news media during specific chapters in U.S. history.
One must wonder if she realizes how SHE is using the media to shape the history of Vietnam and the current election?
She also teaches Advanced Reporting (COMM-425).
Does she instruct her students to smear half the story out of existence? Does it include "suppress the facts, 101?" "Don't read the book but comment on it's content anyway?" |

American University must have low standards for their faculty. At LSU, where I teach, you must have a Ph.D. to be designated Assistant Professor (unless you are very old and got your job many years ago before a Ph.D. was a requirement).
I'm an instructor, with a master's degree. I am not impressed with Jane Hall's credentials.
A writer at TV Guide and an editor at People and she's an "expert"???? Yikes!
She teaches advanced reporting? How can someone who spouts old, outdated, easily rebutted Dim talking points be qualifed to teach such a course? |

I missed the fox report however I'm well acquainted with American U..
Assistant instructor in the school of communications at A. U. says quite allot.
On any given day the odds are any random Cab Driver is going to know more about communications than some one of that title at A. U..
American University was first founded to bring the great American Education to the underprivileged of the world...... like in Beirut.
The Campus in D. C. was the home campus.
As time went by it became a Liberal Bastion as a institution....... and a harbor for many who have not been able to find real jobs or gain admittance to a real university.
No insult to fox news per sea, but she would qualify as a employable bimbo on the tube. Katie Couric has the prestigious UVA degree and is no less Bimbonic. |

I think FactCheck.org has changed something since some of you have read it because I did not read anything that says the swiftboat vets are falsifying.
There is no doubt a tone of dismissal (they bought into the Dem line that who contributed to the commercial somehow is relevant to the accuracy of the charges) but the piece I read was unable to come to any conclusions. (They can do this because they use Brinkley's book and the Navy's citations as evidence of what happened as opposed to the very thing that is being disputed).
They must have already backed off a little. The modification date is today. The last line is VERY noncommittal.
"At this point, 35 years later and half a world away, we see no way to resolve which of these versions of reality is closer to the truth."
Hardly the debunking that some have claimed it is. _________________ Talking point #1: Sign 180
