To answer efuseakay's original question, there were tens of thousands of people questioning Kerry's record in 1971. We let it go for 35 years because he was a relatively harmless Senator from Massachusetts.

I just wish I could find some documented quotes (from the 70's) from newspapers or something, of other Vets actually questioning his service... My friend, and most Liberals I have found, feel the Swifties have only come out recently because of the election.

If there are any documented comments from any of the Swiftvets calling Kerry's service into question, other than O'Neill's, that were said soon after the war, this wouldn't be such a hard thing to debunk...

Okay, due to a private message, I am backing off to give some slack, here.

But, I meant what I said - if your friend won't listen, he won't.

There are some confirmed Kerry KookAde drinkers out there and Kerry could come out tomorrow and admit that everything in "Unfit for Command" is the truth and those people would still stick with him.... because he isn't GWB!

Let him waste his vote - but don't spend a lot of time wrestling with a pig in the mud. You get all dirty, and the pig just loves it.

Good for this disposition. Sounds like efuseakay and his little friend only wanted to occupy Swiftee time and fish for some vitriol.
