Scott- I just sent off an email to an Arizona VietVet who did an article on John McCain some time ago concerning the POW/MIA issue. I remember it being a scathing eye opener but can't remember the details. You would think , being a former POW himself, John McCain, would be sensitive to this issue. Not according to this article.. _________________ Laura~ |

Actually its a code word for Communists. It has been used since the movement began back in the 30s. _________________ Iraqi Freedom 2003-2004. We won't take any of that 1960s crap when We come home! |

What is driving the Kerry campaign batty is the untold millions of free advertising the swifties are getting. Every cable channel for the last few weeks have been showing the ad and at no charge to the 527. hehe I love it.
And Grampa is correct about Progressive being a code word for communists. I will use Naom Chomsky as an example in that during the 70's while Pol Pot was taking control of Cambodia Chomsky fawned over the Progressive nationalistic uprising taking place. To the liberals of the day what was happening in Cambodia was great democracy at work. Of course we all know now that what really happened was communism at its perfect execution. Pol Pot created a rift between the proletariat class and the educated skilled class. He took the Khmer refugees who had no education and labored manually for their sustinance from the hills of Cambodia armed them, then went about killing everyone who could read and write and had any money. Instituting communal sharing and outlawing currency the most draconian form of communism the world has ever known was formed. The only source of revenue for the Cambodian government ended up being their agriculture. CPK would work the people in the fields all day long often on 1 cup of rice or a cup of gruel with more then 70 percent of the crop being exported out. As many people died of starvation in these fields as were killed by the Khmers, thus the term the killing fields. In the end even the Khmer's became disenfranchised because their lives even though better then the non-Khmers was worse off then before this progressive movement. _________________ "An activist is the person who cleans up the water, not the one claiming its dirty."
