I read on the news this morning that Kerry is filing a complaint the the FEC.

Why don't the swift vets take it one step further and file a lawsuit. Get this into a court of law and all the facts will need to come out.

Kerry will be forced to address the issues instead of virulently attack the people who honorably served our country.

Has this been thought of? Addressed? Is it even a possibility?

Courts take years. The election is in days.

Hey - I was just going to say that! they would love to have some kind of "stop" order put on everything while it crawls thru the court.... Y'know, like JK is saying now, let's stop ALL these groups! sure, wants to stop them now after they've been after Bush for months & months -- but now he's the target and his nerves are FRAYING!!

Not the FCC--He's filed with the FEC......the Federal Elections Commission, essentially a toothless group which has no real ability to do anything at all about any of it with respect to this election--In truth, it's a bi-partisan group in the truest sense of the word, members split evenly between Republican and Democrat, which dooms it to almost certain deadlock on any issue with even the slightest hint of partisanism--

The only reason for Kerry to have filed this complaint is so that he could go on camera and say (with predictable indignation) that he'd filed a complaint, making it sound all official--Nothing whatsoever will come of it--Nothing--C

That may be the case, but it would add a lot of validity.

The media is intent on ignoring the truth and has joined Kerry in trashing the character of all those involved.

One defamation suit should make the point, I think?

Actually, from the Forums and Blogs I read and post with, it seems that Kerry's filing with the FEC just enrichened the SwiftVets funds by at least a couple of million and sold out the next printing of "Unfit For Command". Kerry has made the mistake of opening up a "free speech" issue. One comment I recall from an irate poster was, "Considering his attitude toward silencing the SwiftVets, what would be a Kerry administrations policy toward the Internet, Open Forums, and Blogs that do not agree with Kerry?"

Kerry just provided the SwiftVets with two things they needed.
1. Free Advertising
2. Kerry's focus has been diverted specifically toward the SwiftVets.

Emulating his past penchant for self-inflicted wounds, Kerry has yet again shot himself in the foot. I wonder if he'll put himself in for another Purple Heart?

How so? All it would do is take SBVT off message. Right now, our side is doing a great job of controlling the agenda and getting the message out.

Lawyers just screw things up.
