The media shouldn't be a suprise to anyone. Use a liberal friend or collegue for example. Regardless of the logic that you use, or the points that you make, they will never, never give in because that means they have lost, and people naturally HATE to lose.

The talking heads are exactly the same way. They have invested their entire lives into their beliefs. It defines them. If they change their story now, people wil crucify them. The only person who has ever pulled this off is Geraldo. Who would have thought that he would make it at Fox? I guess he just loves the troops, so if he sticks to that we all forget what a p**z he was during the OJ trial.

On the other hand look at O'Reilly. We all thought he was this hard core Conservative, yet he defines himself as a Traditionalist. He isn't taking sides one way or the other and I think it's hurting him because in the past he has ALWAYS been one way or the other.
