SBVT. We won't be on the back burner for long

Man, the MSM keeps piling on.

Now they put Clinton in the Hospital for open heart surgery (what if they don't find one. LOL!)
They'll stop at nothing to take away from reporting on the hugely successful RNC and the SBVT who organized it. [/sarchasm]

Bush's success is on record. It is Kerry who is probably doing toilet duty over the fact he will not be able to get his rebuttal message out! LMAO!

This was her response to Kerry trying to slam Cheney at his pit stop speech last night... Pat Buchanan was their guest to review the RNC convention.
I have emailed her for source of deferment.

"When he approached his draft board for permission to study for a year in Paris [deferment], the draft board refused and Kerry decided to enlist in the Navy." Harvard Crimson, February 18, 1970.

It's important to note that he DID HAVE A DEFERRMENT, when he was in college, and it was when that deferrment ran out, that he applied for an additional deferrment and was turned down. So rather than be drafted, he joined the Navy. Not that uncommon at the time. Kids often joined either the Navy or National Guard if they thought they might be drafted.

I agree with Stevie, the Kerry camp wanted to be included in the morning editions.

While the terrorist attack on the Russian school might be a distraction from the RNC and the SBVT message, it does point up a contrast.

In 1971, Kerry was meeting with Communists, and slandering American soldiers in Vietnam who were fighting Communists whose weapons were provided by Russians. Thanks to President Ronald Reagan, who stood up to the Communists, we now see Russian soldiers carrying wounded children out of a school in their own country, instead of taking over other countries. If Kerry had had his way instead of Reagan, what would Russian soldiers be doing right now?

Food for thought!

Wow, nice point Steve.

If Kerry had his way during the Cold War there wouldn't be this Chechnian terrorism right now. Because there WOULDN'T BE ANY CHECHENS TO CONDUCT IT. The Soviet KGB had very simple reactions to terrorism, they just killed everyone - kidnappers, hostages, bystanders, etc. Before they started blasting away they might track down the terrorist's family, cut off thier ears, and present them to the kidnappers - their idea of 'negotiation'.

Which is why nobody tried terrorism on the Soviets.

Minor correction here, John F-ing Kerry joined the Naval Reserve, an important distiction. To say that he volunteered to fight is a stretch, they activated his A$$.

SBVT v Kerry debate on the back burner.

But, that is a very good illustration of the fact that events can overtake the best laid plans. Another, even better example of that was in the 2000 election in New Mexico. The Eastern half of New Mexico is conservative Republican, while the Western half is liberal Democrat. On Election day 2000, there was a freak snow storm in the Eastern half of the state, 9 inches worth, forcing many people to stay away from the voting booth. The result was 10,000 votes for Dubya that never got cast, and we wound up with the debacle in Florida. I mention this to point out that any plan can be foiled by uncontrollable forces, and that includes the plan to dump John F-ing Kerry. Never let up.

I have a question for the Navy Vietnam Vets:

If Kerry got his defferment turned down, and he enlisted in the Navy, then how did he get his commission? Or does the media have the story screwed up like usual.

"Thought the RNC was strong throughout. too bad so much news breaking this a.m. in Russia and that storm heading into FLA. "

IMHO I think the MSM is not doing enough to cover the Russian terrorist situation. They know that when Americans watch this their fears will be validated that we will be next, thus helping Bush's campaign. I think its horrible that the MSM continues to allow their agenda to dictacte what side of the story, if any coverage at all, they will show to the public. What is happening in Russia is horrible. The fact that those captive children had to witness their father's execution and the deaths from the explosions makes me sick.

Our MSM has an obligation (since we more or less finance their existence) to provide the viewers with the facts about the threats in our World.

And, the MSM has an obligation to press Kerry to release his records so the TRUTH is revealed.

All MSM lives and dies by advertizing revenues. That includes newpapers, magazines, radio, TV, the whole shoot'in match. If one cancels their subscription, or turns the channel, that means less coverage for the particular media which translates into less valuable ad space, and lower income due to reduced ad rates. Similar to a boycott, nothing get's their attention like grabbing them in the wallet by low viewership, subscriptions, etc.. CNN and the LA times are good examples of that. When you turn people off, they quit paying attention to you. An organized nationally coordinated movement to stop paying attention to the MSM is unlikely, but it certainly would get their attention. I think that we are seeing some of that on a random basis, and I think it's highly likely to continue. Sooner or later, they will figure it out, and try to do something to change things. Personally, I'd say it's unhealthy for anyone to hold their breath in anticipation of that result, but it's bound to happen.
