Do they mean when the president said this in April?--"As a proud and independent people, Iraqis do not support an indefinite occupation--and neither does America. We're not an imperial power, as nations such as Japan and Germany can attest. We are a liberating power." Are the people of Iraq not liberated from a terrible dictator? Did we not transfer sovereignty over to the Iraqi people exactly when we said we would? | Or maybe it was when he said
"I say it all — I say it all the time publicly. Yes, I wouldn't want to be occupied." - President George W. Bush 5/28/04
"Maybe the Iraqis don't want us to occupy them. Who wants to be occupied? Nobody wants to be occupied." - President George W. Bush, 5/7/04
"And they were happy — they're not happy they're occupied. I wouldn't be happy if I were occupied either."- President George W. Bush, 4/13/04
Too much liberal bashing in this country and not enough Kerry bashing, but thats just a thought. Zell is a good man for standing up against Kerry and for what he beleives in. I wish more good Dems spoke how the feel and not sticking to their party. Any predictions on reprecusions? _________________ "I already don't miss it," he said of Washington. Asked to elaborate, he replied: "You know that great feeling you get when you stop banging your head against a wall?" |

I think if they followed Zell or Evan, the democratic party would really become a party for the people. To stick to your beliefs and to be loyal to the country in spite of what your party orders you to do is a brave thing especially when the party has moved so far to the left that they are willing to attack our country's heroes to try to gain a few votes.
I think Zell is very much a democrat, but I also think he believes his party has been hijacked by a fringe group bent on making our country subservient to others. |
