I'd like to know how many purple hearts, medals, and ribbons Washington had.
Seriously, Washington was the person who spearheaded the adoption of the constitution. His selection to be the first president was probably more influenced by that than his heroics. There is, however, another revolutionary figure that Kerry can relate well to. Efforts to compare him to people of that period might get people thinking more about Arnold than anyone else, especially with the help of the SBVT. |

Hello Everyone,
I watched the skit and it was meant as a joke I am sure. Rest assured I am well aware that the liberal hollywood media machine was trying to discredit the swifties.
It was poorly made and really not that funny, but it was a spoof. To make fun of the father of our country is plain old silly. The piece was done by the daily show which is run by admitted democratic operatives. Just another attempt to distort from the real issue of John Kerry's poor and made up military record. The audience at the emmy's was a cespool of ultra liberals and I am sure it changed no ones mind there. Also the emmy's had some of it's lowest ratings this year. Regualr americans wont be corrupted by this parody. _________________ "All the Way!" |

It really made me angry but it was not a huge hit even there. There was laughter but not what you would call raucous.
Stewart is an idiot anyway. |

Navy x3 we want it all including CA, NY like the RNC got in 1984. We will not rest untill the whole country is red & that includes MN & DC the two places Mondale got in 1986. In the year 2404 our great, great, great, grand children will be talking about what happend in 2004. We will not rest until we get a clean sweep.

I didn't see the 'emmys' because if a show is really good, well-written, well-directed, well-acted, it doesn't last long these days. There are few shows I watch on tv and I couldn't care less about seeing them all fall over each other with accolades and awards.
However... perhaps they should tell the whole story... the one we were all taught as children, the one that served to educate us in moral values... about how how young George Washington chopped down the cherry tree and confessed because he could not tell a lie... Let's see them TRY to do a 'Kerry skit' with that one! Now that WOULD get a laugh |

As an almost native Marbleheader, I appreciated the mentions of General John Glover's maritime regiment and their contribution to the Revolution.
None of the Hollywood types that produced or laughed at this piece of garbage has any idea of the kinds of sacrifices that are made daily to provide them their freedoms - as a friend of mine calls them, "freedom's freeloaders". |

John Kerry is NO George Washington. He is not even a pimple on George Washingtons posterior.

Guess what?....It just MAY happen!
Quote: | John Kerry's lead in New York is down to single digits.

In a sense this indicated that even Hollyweirds were aware of the impact of the ads.

But probably not so much that they'd reach down if it fell from their pocket.
These guys are lucky that some liberal members are able to convince people that they are just - good folks (like Franz on NYPD). There are a couple of ways to look at it. One, a few are not radical socialists. But that might be little comfort when one realizes that it was the show's producers who had to set up air time for Stewart's reel, and that no one was heard to boo in the audience.
Two, don't watch the Stewart show, which does try to be clever without taking the time to learn the facts (which is what one needs to be clever). Many people already refuse to watch certain network news.
And three, consider that there has been a seamy side to Hollywood since before the talkies, but that unpatriotic sentiments were concealed. Not so, anymore. And it might be interesting to see how that goes. Because I think while a bold, public anti-Americanism played to a significant 60-70s audience, and perhaps even during Clinton's reign, it may prove financially unsound in the 21st century, after 9/11. And many of these people may . . just go away, or once again return to concealing their anti-Americanism. And those who think it unnecessary, may find themselves sudden pariahs, for good reason. Ask the 'performers' for Kerry over the last few months, where some preferred the performance, but had to reject the artist for imposing their will at the microphone. If they, and Hollywood, can profit with a much smaller audience, then so be it.
But, secondly, I think that they believe something is far more important than mere profit for them to hold such a solution acceptible. And that's because they believe that the tube and film exist to change minds, not so much that it's simply there to provide entertainment.
For myself, there are few dramas or comedies that I'd watch. And while fruicake liberals may be behind the shows I do prefer, and while it bothers me to think that, I still might find the game, or the concert, or the debate interesting. I do find it difficult to believe, however, that the OCC guys, who might prefer to mingle with stardom, would themselves share the same sentiments as the stars. |
