Hope this is the right place to post.

Last night while watching Judging Amy on CBS (of course), out of the blue and completely out of context comes the following scene.

Husband is practicing guitar in basement. Wife comes down to give him a "time sensitive" letter that came in the mail. Husband opens up letter and says with disgust......"Just a letter from Bush/Cheney telling me everything they have done for me".

HELLO, what did this have to do with the show (that I enjoy). I fired off a letter to CBS this morning. Anyone else see this show? Am I getting too sensitive?

Just venting.

I'll be moving this to the Geedunk, soon. FYI, that's the "open topics" forum.

Thanks.

CBS is not going to get it until they haven't got any viewers at all.

Boycott is the only way.

There was an episode of Law &Order where the older detective (Lenny) got into a political debate over the Iraq war and the war on terror with the younger African-American detective. Their African-American Captain told them to knock it off even though she agreed with the younger dectective.

The view was the one of blame America first and we are to blame for the terrorist. Lenny was on the side of Bush using military force.

Regardless of the issue, why did it have to be brought up in the middle of NBC programming? It didn't, that is the answer. We have enough news shows to give their biased opinions.

And this scene in an episode of "The Practice" (no longer on the air...but I quit watching after this):

Cop-killer suspect who was injured fleeing police is being tortured in his hospital bed (the cops are shoving a flashlight into his open wound) for a confession. Enter his sexy blonde lawyer who demands they stop. The cops pick her up and handcuff her to a waiting room chair, then resume the torture as we see close up of angry lawyer over screams of suspect.

When the situation finally resolves (lawyer uncuffed, cops gone), the defense attorneys deliver this line: "Well, this is exactly the kind of thing you get with the Patriot Act."

The show's creator, David E. Kelly, is a left-wing lawyer. The idiots in the Hollywood community think he's a genius.

These are the reasons I no longer watch any of the drama or sitcoms or anything on ABC, NBC or CBS. You just cannot trust the studios not to inject their partisan bias into the story. I had to quit watching ER because of the liberal thrust of the story line. Too bad. I rather liked it until the liberals stepped up their propaganda. When John Carter lectures the United States for not giving enough money to fight AIDS in Africa I just gotta move on.

The fact is this. We are just now coming to our senses and we are seeing it everywhere. It is the slippery-slope to socialism and it is happening before our very eyes. It simply is not safe to allow our children to watch anything on network television because of the drip-drip-drip of liberal indoctrination that occurs constantly on MSM programs. The entire industry has become a vehicle of propoganda and indoctrination of a left-wing agenda.

Until the bias is exposed at every single nook and cranny we must urge people to keep the trash from being played in our homes and especially protect our impressionable children from watching it.

Next we go after textbooks and institutes of higher learning.

I guess the writers of Judging Amy would prefer that after 9/11 our economy go into such a depression that we can not recover. Instead, we prevailed and are thriving. I realize more and more every day that we have been under attack from an enemy within for a very long time.

I enjoy getting letters from Democrats, since, it means they are wasting money.

Isn't it sad that in order to vote for Kerry and the "Hate America First" crowd that the economy has to suck and the terrorist must be winning.

Pretty sad when your whole political strategy rests on wanting America to lose. I agree with Zell, what happened to the Democratic party I used to know.

After Memogate, I locked CBS out on my sattelite receiver--Didn't bother me, really--The only two CBS programs that I ever watched were CSI (the original only) and Judging Amy and, since they're both in syndication, I figured that I'd just wait and see any future programming in re-runs on cable--

Thanks for the heads-up, arlene--Now I don't have to bother with the JA re-runs--They obviously don't care if they offend a large segment of their audience so long as they can get a chance to spew their liberal tripe so heck with 'em--C

I feel the same way you guys do when you're just watching a show to "chill" and they go and get all preachy on you. It annoys me 'cause I watch TV to GET AWAY from all the news of the day.

I also like rock tunes and movies and I just DON'T CARE what the stars think politically. I like 'em more when they "SHUT UP and SING!"

They can voice their opinions if they want, but they risk losing me in the process.
