Kerry. IMHO, that's like depending on a vegetarian to cater your
Bar-B-Que! Students may vote --depending on the weather,
or the length of the queue, or even the quality of programming on
the cartoon channel--I wouldn't want to depend on them.

We're on the phone right now with our daughter who is a Junior at the University of Tennessee and she's shocked that we are concerned that Kerry will win. She says everyone she knows up there is voting Bush as are their parents. I know a few months back they did a poll on the Ga Tech campus and came up with the same results, but I don't know if it has changed lately. This youth is supposed to be more conservative than their parents. My daughter also says that the professors cram the liberal politics down their throats so much that they are resentful! Our generation may have done a better job of getting our kids to trust us as parents (at least we'd like to think so.)

Dude...we're neighbors...you're about 12 mi North of me...

Yup, I heard the young folks--esp the responsible ones who are
in school, are more likely to be conservative. That bodes well.

Howdy Neighbor! I Think I'm further than 12 miles though. Husband just opened a clinic in Stockbridge and its about an hour drive for him. We are just about 5 miles past Stone Mountain on Hwy 78.

Course, I should say my daughter is in with the up and coming kids around campus, the ones who comb their hair & take daily baths, Greek crowd. I'm not sure they study much though Crying or Very sad Evil or Very Mad Crying or Very sad Evil or Very Mad

I have never thought Fox was a conservative network. They are slightly left of center with a few conservative types like Hannity, Jim Angle, Tony Snow, et al. They only appear conservative because the rest of the dominant media culture is so biased to the left.

On another topic, as much as the media culture wants Kerry to win, they like a close race even more - it generates excitement and headlines, therefore readers and viewers which equal revenue.

Anyway, it doesn't matter what they think, the people go around them to get their information.

I'm up in Rabun County. Lakemont to be exact. This here is solid Bush country though I have seen a few misguided souls who had the temerity to put up sKerry posters.
I voted Friday, early ballot. Even so the line up in Clayton twisted like a piece of tangled chord around the county court house. Every one I spoke to was a Bush supporter, parents, kids, cats and dogs This might be Hill Billy country but the folks up here sure know what the score is. There's no fooling them no matter what the flatland city folks think. God, it's a great day Very Happy HALLELUJA Praised be to the LORD in heaven.

When the election is over, I will switch to Discovery and History channels, and get news from the Internet.

I think after the election, I'm ready to just listen to talk radio, get my news there and do something relaxing at night, READ! No Non-fiction for me either, Novels. Steamy and Romantic would be nice for a change. Kind of like we used to have with the news during the Clinton days.
