In Ausi and Brittish papers,as well as a number of quasi intellectual sites not to exclude msm it's cited as the ultimate resource of the true nature of the" fictional hero". Brinkleys academic licience has been questioned by a few of his peers. He had direct contact with the evill one., and then authored the book. He used notes records journals that were provided-He researched {read those} and did his thing. Academians aren't suppose to do that. His membership in the ranks of historical writters is threatend by the book and the ad about going up the creek. If you google Brinkley Kerry you can find places to criticise or question him .It would indeed be a shame if his peers knew he was a pubic relations person. At one time he was a fine researcher/author. Think he would tell us what he saw? |
Historians still seem to have integrity, though the academic wheels move slowly.
Professor Michael A. Bellesiles’s book "Arming America"--

It took years for the false citations, distortions, and sloppy scholarship to catch up, but he is now generally discredited.
Folks who actually know something about guns cried foul right away. But fellow historians were the ones to finally nail down the coffin, by carefully fact-checking Bellesiles’s work. |
