Ya know Guys and Gals? Kerry's campaign and the leftist controllers are in panic mode because they've all finally come to the realization that Kerry has been lying to them too!

Oh my God! We've been trying to elect (another) pathological liar!

They now know what we have known for a long time:

FNG =Fraudulent Narcissistic Gas-bag.

ASPB,

I think you're right. Up until this point, I think that the Kerry campaigners honestly believed that Kerry was telling the truth. I don't fault them for that at all...especially in today's climate.

If that is the case, then IMHO (and IMX) I think there are going to be some very sharp words by the DNC and DLC and pressure for Kerry to resign. Don't count on it though. Failing that, they will start a much nastier campaign (even more) because they know Kerry is a lair (suprise, suprise).

Even if I am right, don't expect this to get easier....in fact if I am right, it is about to get NASTY because the democrats will do anything to win this year....

Don't forget how the ACLU came to Rush's defense. One thing they are is consistent.

Wow they want to be able to shut up anyone who even questions Kerry. Kerry is not God. We can question him. And there is nothing wrong with it.

I hate to even suggest it... The ACLU is not my favorite group of folks (most recently for a little matter of a teeny-tiny cross on the California state emblem that someone got offended by)... But has anyone written the ACLU on the matter of Kerry Kamp's intent to supress free speech? We all have seen the letter sent out by Kerry's folks to several stations carrying the SBVT ad... I think the ACLU is overdue for some positive feedback - What could be more positive than veterans wanting the truth to come out?

Powerboss,

Actually these are old charges. I am sure one of the swifties could answer it better than I, but here goes:

1. A lot of those comments based during the Vietnam war were:

A. Based on FALSE information submitted by Lt (JG) Kerry.

B. Were part of his FITREP. The problem with FITREPs is that there is 'inflation' in the system due to the up-or-out system, and reading a FITREP is a fine art....and no civilian journalist will do it right....or can be bothered to learn.

2. The comments by Elliot later (see 1996 Senate Run) were based on his recollections of the FALSE Spot reports that had been submitted by Kerry. He didn't change his mind until he learned that Kerry had lied. I am sure the swiftvets themselves can answer this better than I, but that is my understanding.

Drudgereport.com has picked up the story:

KERRY CAMPAIGN CALLS FOR BOOK BAN

The Kerry campaign calls on a publisher to 'withdraw book' written by group of veterans, claiming veterans are lying about Kerry's service in Vietnam and operating as a front organization for Bush. Kerry campaign has told Salon.com that the publisher of UNFIT FOR COMMAND is 'retailing a hoax'... 'No publisher should want to be selling books with proven falsehoods in them,' Kerry campaign spokesman Chad Clanton tells the online mag... Developing...

It's called Selective Free Speech. Wink

I hope the Kerry campaign keeps this up.

It guarantees more book sales and more attention. Very Happy

Isn't it time for a really indignant press release about how this threat of a book ban threatens democracy as we know it? You know, a really searing release like yesterday's response to the WaPo story. And then sent to all major news outlets.

The rapid response team was great yesterday. A response to this act of stupidity by the Kerry campaign will really hurt them.

jack,

Lest we forget not only was the WaPo story immediately sent out over the AP wire, it was very selectively edited. Methinks I smell a rat.

jack,

Speaking of rapid response, we should get something out with regard to this book ban...preferably just after the Kerry campaign makes the request with the publisher. Put them on the defensive....and yes call the ACLU. That ought to make any decent Dem squirm.
