A lot of people who are not "animal" people refer to animals as the wrong gender. Don't know whether that's Kerry's excuse, but it happens.

That's just IT, though. Kerry CLAIMS to be an animal person. Had LOTS of pets. Knew how to give CPR to a hamster.

I've never ever owned a pet or animal and got confused about its gender. And I'm not a "pet person". either.

I just think he's lying. Occum's Razor and all that. If there are two explanations, choose the simpler of the two.

Besides, he has a long history of prevarication, faulty memory, exaggeration, and flat out lies.
