Not having been a member of our Armed Services at all (and hats off to those who have!!!), I have no idea how one might check on whether a person earned a particular medal on a particular action, etc.
Is there any way to check the records electronically for purple hearts out of the 5thSFGA? The first message in this thread seems like it is quoting some offical document or data base. Thanks for helping an ignorant newbie here. |

Check and see if Kerry fragged Rassmann at the same time they blew the rice cache. Maybe this was Kerry's way of not getting it mentioned (I'll put you in for a Purple Heart). The Army would have had to awarded it to Rassmann, correct? And Rassmann's never mentioned it that I've heard. I hope he did get one, that would make for some interesting questions. |
