I agree that it seems strange that the citation is not mentioned. If, however, the Navy records to which Matt Kelley (AP) refers is based on The Coastal Division Eleven Command History "Chronology of Highlights” (which is found on the Kerry website) then a great analysis of it is at:
http://qando.net/archives/003894.htm

Does anyone know for sure if these Matt Kelly Navy records are the same as above?

Twisted Evil

I believe as i am sure a good many other people in this GREAT
country do, that any material that comes from CNN-WOLF BLITZER-
or any of the ABC-CBS-MBC or MSNBC must be read with tougn &cheek.

The Navy record Kelley is talking about is not the COSDIV 11 command history posted on Kerry's site. The two quotes he uses are not found in that document. However, the analysis at qando.net applies in this case as well. Yes, the Sea Lords operation on March 13th did involve the boats coming under automatic weapons fire but that occurred earlier in the day.

So far the only documents that directly state that the boats came under enemy fire during the rescue of PCF 3 are the bronze star recommendations and citations which are based on the fraudulent AAR written by Kerry.

These new documents that the MSM touts as supporting Kerry do not, in fact, add any support to Kerry's version of what occurred when PCF 3 was attacked and during its subsequent rescue.

Joecamp,

Shouldn't the correct version of the incident be brought to the NYT editor's attention, to get a correction?

I plan to as soon as I can find the source in the Times.

Interesting that this would make news at all, since the MSM seemed convinced that the Bronze Star citations were absolute proof.

One of the main issues of controversy yet to be resolved is who wrote the after action reports. For the Mar 13, '69 incident aren't the skippers (am I showing my ignorance here of correct terminology?) of the other swiftboats members of SBVT? If so, would interviews with them asking if they authored the report resove the issue if they each denied writing it, and Kerry was the only one left authorized to write the report?
