Estimate Gallup: Bush 52 - Kerry 46. If that is the case, Kerry is dead meat.

Check back tomorrow and see if I am right. Hope so

Just checked out a liberal website to see if there was any response to this revelation...guess what? 0 response.

How can you respond to that? This poll is consistent with all the polls done this week - both Kerry and his poll numbers are sinking rapidly!

Funny. I just posted the poll on a non-partisan website and got the exact same reaction from the lefties - complete silence.

Oooooooh. That's gotta hurt. Razz Razz Razz

Some people on other blog sites have already speculating whether the LA times poll is fixed so that Bush will get no or negative bounce post convention. We know that the LA times and Ny times are the most far left news organization out there, so who knows what they are capable of. But the good thing is that this poll is consisent with all the polls that were done so far. I can't wait to see what the Gallup shows.

We must not stop the attack on Kerry and his lies! Kerry cannot be trusted to lead the greatest nation of this world.

Although a solid majority of Americans say they believe Kerry served honorably in Vietnam, the poll showed that the fierce attacks on the senator from a group of Vietnam veterans criticizing both his performance in combat and anti-war protests at home have left some marks: Kerry suffered small but consistent erosion compared to July on questions relating to his Vietnam experience, his honesty and his fitness to serve as commander in chief.

Funny, isn't it? The "FIERCE ATTACKS" began with one little ad in three little states. The Swift Vets just keep plugging away, telling the truth, and patiently waiting for the lamestream media to notice.

Bless AlGore for inventing the internet!

GO Swift Vets!

Bush won't need a bounce from the convention. We haven't released the second part of the attack yet, the POW's are just coming on-line, and the media is only beginning to come around to the Swiftboat side of things. It's becoming fashionable to ask "Where's the 180 form"? If Kerry is tied right now, he ain't got a chance. Pour it on, guys, I want to see this guy resign in disgrace, not lose a close election. We need to put him out of politics so we don't have to worry about having to do this again in 4 years. No mercy, he didn't show any in 1971. Mad

I doubt it. If anything, this kind of poll result adds fuel to the fire and creates a momentum shift which can only get out of control for Kerry. I think it's more likely that they would try to minimize Bush's numbers so as to minimize this shift.

And other polls will be published, mitigating whatever specific long term impact this one will have. The impact is now. No doubt about it. And the LA Times can't be loving it. No sir.

Well said. My sentiments exactly. Defeating out of control media bias is going to icing on the cake.

Everyone,

I believe it is accurate. I too am curious to see what Gallup comes up with. (Prediction: It think it will show the President with a statistically significant lead for the first time in a long time.) This is consistant with a recent Survey USA Poll (which no lefty chooses to believe) that shows that California may be takeable.

I am certain the DNC would ask him to leave the race. Even though this would be bad for Bush I for one would sleep better at night knowing Kerry would not be the president even though another Democrat might be.

Can't imagine it would be bad for Bush, the dems would have a lot of egg on their face for picking Kerry to begin with, the stand in candidate would still get creamed.

I am so impressed with Bush these days, not because of anything he has done, but what he has not done. The incessant bashing he has received the past couple of years through books and with f911 has been phenonmenal, yet he has never complained about it. Just shrugged it off and went on with being president.

I have recognized this only in contrast to Kerry's childish whining over the swiftvets, and threats to censor the ads and the book. I cannot remember any presidential candidate with such lack of character, even Clinton looks good in comparison.

Some adversaries cannot be left breathing. Kerry must be taken out of politics completely as an example to the media that truth is stronger than collective BS. Kerry must be made to fall on his sword, public apology or not.

SBVT is supported by the donations of individuals. Ads can run up through election day.

While the character issues raised by SBVT are damaging Kerry, properly so, keep in mind that most voters will only factor in what Kerry did or did not do with respect to Vietnam his veracity - as only part of their decision.

The election will be all about if voters approve of Dubya, think he has the vision and abilities to merit continuing being President.

The Fox poll was worrisome. Kerry is widening his lead to +5 to +10 points in most Swing states. A majority of voters think Bush has no coherent foreign policy beyond fighting "evildoers", and think his scheme of borrowing money from foreign countries to give the bulk of "tax cuts" for the wealthiest has utterly failed to grow America's economy and generate "trickledown" job numbers.

If the August jobs report is flat or negative, Bush is back in trouble despite all the truth the SBVT gave the public. If he shows a lack of vision for his next 4 years in his Convention speech and yammers about bringing freedom by force to more countries, with America "standing tall" and not needing permission from anyone to do what Dubya thinks is best - that would be a bad thing.

If Clinton could run, despite his "character issues" he would win in a landslide over Dubya.

A cautionary reminder. If voters don't have confidence in Bush or his policies helping domestically or in foreign affairs, they will vote for change. Even change by a very flawed rival.
