As I have said on this forum before, I do not know why I put
myself through the torture of watching "The Capital Gang" on
CNN on Saturday night since it is the only thing I watch on the
"Clinton News Network". It is really torture on shows like
tonight's show (9/18/04) when Kate O'Beirne is not on. I
mention it in this thread because IMHO Kerry does not need
a "rapid response team" as long as Margaret Carlson, Al Hunt,
and Mark Shields continue to draw breath.

On tonight's show, Margaret brazenly said that "all of the claims
of the Swiftvets have been proven to be false". When Roy Blunt,
a Republican congressman who was the guest on the show, called
her on it, she mumbled something about the Navy saying the medals
were legit. Later, Bob Novak interjected his support of the Swiftvets.
I don't always agree with everything Bob says, but he has been
steadfast in his support of the Swiftvets. He had barely gotten the
words out of his mouth when the other three regulars jumped all
over him. The result was a shouting match that lasted until the
commercial break. Those three are unbelievable! They don't let
the facts stand in the way of a chance to prop up JK.
