The electoral is showing no movement...Bush has a slight edge.

But Fox has the race tied...and two weeks ago had Bush by six.
Zogby has it tied...and two weeks ago had Bush by two.
ABC News has it tied...and two weeks ago had Bush up six.

If you believe what you read, ties typically go to the challenger...so there is work to do.

I'm spending the weekend in New Hampshire, helping to get people to the polls.

But it bears repeating:

The polls are all trending Kerry's way since the Bin Laden tape was released. We are all going to wake up Wednesday morning with John Kerry as President-elect. Crying or Very sad

How are all of us going to feel if we could have done something to prevent this, but chose not to?

Untrue. The RCP state averages in the battlegrounds (all that count at this point) are clearly trending Bush.

I saw Zogby last night on Fox, he said in his opinion the Election was going to Bush.
Enough of the pessimism please.

One thing I noticed in that Boston Herald article dated today - there is no mention specifically of John Warner - interesting.

If McCain ends up being Secretary of Defense (god forbid Kerry get elected) I will lose a lot of respect for McCain, because when asked by the press he emphatically stated "No thanks, no thanks" when asked about a position in Kerry's cabinet as Sec. of Defense. Why the Kerry people keep naming him after he has said this bothers me.

I posted a reply to NavyChief at 2 or 3 or 2 in the morning (depends ... Wink)
I've seen a couple of snippets of it between there and here.

This part has bothered me since August when I was vectored to this site, and still does:

Quote:
how/where is acceptable to me if, and only if, this gets beyond bloggers and talk-show hosts.
If bloggers and talk show hosts mattered that much, we'd not have needed this website in the first place.

If why is really part of the equation, we still don't need this website.

Here's an analogy (I served on USS Hancock: CVA-19, VF-24):
It appears that Swift Boats have attacked an Aircraft Carrier.
The Destroyer Escort took the initial assult, and suffered heavy damage.
The carrier has also been hit ... perhaps fatally, perhaps not.
But not before it launched.

Can one of you cockeyed optimists out there give me a straw to grasp?
PLEASE? Evil or Very Mad

Folks,

Bush has all but won Florida at this point, and he's opening up a lead in Ohio. He's ahead in Wisconsin, Iowa, Colorado, and New Mexico. He's tied in Hawaii and Minnesota. He's close in Penn. and Michigan.

What does this mean? Well, assuming Bush wins Florida, Arkansas, and West Virginia, where he has pretty solid leads, he only needs to win Ohio. Even if he doesn't which is unlikely, he can make it up with Wisconsin, Iowa, and Colorado, where he is also ahead. Or Minnesota, New Mexico, and Colorado. Or Wisconsin, Iowa, and New Mexico. Or Iowa, Colorado, New Mexico, and Hawaii. Or Pennsylvania. Or Michigan and Colorado. Or any other number of permutations. Kerry needs to win almost everything.

Basically, because Florida looks like it's moved out of play, Kerry has to win almost every other battleground to succeed, including a lot of places where he's behind right now. It looks bad for him, which is probably one reason that this story is being kept under wraps (no need to risk the perception that you're "playing dirty" if you're already going to win).

The best thing you can do now is help get out the vote.

Don't worry about the tracking polls. If you study them you will find thay Kerry got a spike on Friday. He always does better on Friday due probably conservs are at High School football or someother function. Bush out polled Kerry on Saterday but since these polls do rolling averages it is hard to see it. Over the last few weeks Bush has been polling lower then Kerry on Sat and Sun so a good day for Bush on Sat is a great sign. This is being discussed to death over on hedghoge report blog with some very good analisis by polaris. The fox poll shows Bush winning the female vote and losing the male vote, this is oposite every other poll so even Fox's poller says he thinks they have bad data. Don't sweat the traking polls, Gallop should be out today or tomorrow and I bet will show Bush of +5 or better.

Kerry has given up in Florida, Hawaii is in play, and things are pushing in Bushes direction more and more.

Where you guys get all this negativity from is beyond me.

When Bush wins on Tuesday, he will have the Swiftvets to thank for it.

You are the ONLY ones that have actually stood up and shouted the truth, as the Dem 527's attacked Bush with lies and nonsense.

Bush will win on Tuesday, Kerry has too much catch up to do in 2 ddays to even come close.

It will be Bush with over 55%, and more then 300 EC.

DO not let the MSM's negativity get to you, they WANT us negative, because if we are negative, then we won't go and vote, and then Kerry will win because Bush's BASE didn't get out and vote!!

Bush can and WILL win, BUT WE MUST STAY POSITIVE AND WE MUST GET OUT AND VOTE!!!

And after this whole hurrah is done, this entire organization needs to get together and have parades for our Vietnam vets, they protected us 3 decades ago, and NEVER got a welcome home parade, and when Kerry is defeated, they DESERVE THE BIGGEST welcome home PARADE we can GIVE THEM!!!

They protected us then, and they are protecting us now, they are TRUE HEROS!!!

Thanks Swiftvets for what you have done, and for what you are doing, but do not let this organization die, once Kerry is defeated, let's find things, POSITIVE things that this organization can do for the Vietnam vets....

Hello all! New to this whole thing plus dial-up makes commentary difficult. Looking for any help in getting the local rag to publish my letter to the editor in this left wing town...

I believe this 3-way is the source where Humpty is surging. However, most of us miss the 2-way where the numbers are all over the place. And the Battleground States take too much time.

IMO, the polls can't have it right because the dynamics this year are anomalous and proper estimating models don't yet exist. Bottom line, now is the time to flood, FLOOD the emails and blogs with our message.

You couldn't believe the powerplay behind the scenes at this moment regarding this story.

You can call me many things (and probably will) -- I don't care.

This isn't my call anymore on how/where/when/why this story will come out.

I've been told/asked/cajoled whatever you wish to call it -- to stand down.

So, this Chief will STAND DOWN (for now).

That's all I have to say on the matter. If you want me to personally apologize to everyone -- so be it.

- Troy Jenkins (aka "NavyChief")

IMHO I think "they" are trying to keep a hold card in order to get the Dems to call off the law dogs and avoid undermining the legitimacy of the election, after all there is no way that "they" do not know what is in Kerry's file. "They" must think that the election is pretty much in hand due to the GOTV efforts.

Troy's work is still incredibly valuable and after the election the "running dogs" like Brinkley and Kranish will help open up this can of worms to save their own reputations.

Let's keep pushing

The single most accurate poll, correctly predicting 100 of the last 12 presidential elections (since 1956!) is the Weekly Reader poll started in 1956. It is a true reflection of America as children and grand-children are likely to reflect the view of their parents and grandparents.

Though it's percentages are often skewed, it has been more accurate than Gallup, Zogby, etc.

Unless since the last election most of the left-wing children have moved to France or unless 1/2 of the other side has suddenly come out of the closet or killed their kids, it will be accurate again.

This other crap is just that. CRAP.

Heads down. Face the wind. Step forward with confidence and return George Bush to the White House.

We have no choice and nothing to fear!
