Okay, I've had time to think about this.
The MSM and U.N. are playing this to hurt Bush.
First of all, this is not newly discovered nuclear material and equipment. It is part of Saddam's nuclear program abandoned after the 1st Gulf War. He had intentions to restart the program at some time in the future.
The material and equipment had been tagged by the inspectors years
ago, and they continued to monitor it until they were forced out before
the U.S. invasion in 2003. Bush barred U.N. inspectors from returning,
and used our teams to search for WMD.
The UN teams were allowed into Iraq in June 2003 to investigate and take inventory due to widespread looting. After that they kept track of it by satellite images.
I think the MSM and U.N. are playinga game to hurt Bush.
The press had a field day last week with te Duelfer Report. All they
talked about was NO WMDs for days. Hah! They GOT BUSH!
They completely ignored the part of the report that Saddam retained the capacity to quickly restart his nuclear program and could have a nuke.
Now that all that hubbub has died down, they come out with O MY Gosh,
the stuff has disappeared!
Sure, they have to admit THAT OTHER PART of the report now, but
it's overshadowed by the panic that the"material has disappeared!"
"We don't know who has it!!"
and then they beat up Bush AGAIN because of incompetence.
They've made a double whammy out of it!
My question is --how long has ElBaradei been holding this information.
and just now releasing it? |

well if that is the case, then time to charge up the spin doctors. Ignoring these previous reports and blasting Bush for 'no WMD' could be harmful to 'respected' media if spun the right way. The possibilities! |
