NavyChief,

Hopefully the story you were teasing earlier today is still coming out. Can you give us an update?

As for the Rally, Sunday is supposed to be 70 and sunny in DC, so a little outdoor activity is always a good idea. I don't think a press conference/rally will have any effect with the media at this point, unless you have some proof from the item mentioned above. The Viet Cong influencing anti-war protestors is a good story, but there is no way the media will spend any time on it unless you have video/audio specifically showing coordination between John Kerry and the enemy.

Osama Bin Laden will dominate the press from here on out. A SwiftVet rally might help in Ohio, but it will have no effect in DC.

I do appreciate all the work you've done, as it is good to know the truth. It is also sad but good to have concrete proof of how biased the media is regarding the SwiftVet story.

Any hint of a less-than-honorable will trump everything if a decent size crowd turns out.
You would not believe the reaction I was getting today when I indicated "it was possible Kerry's discharge was other than honorable, according to some stuff I'm seeing on the Internet" this afternoon.

I mean, we're talking "fantastic" or "abject horror" reactions. No middle ground here.

Without that, though, I tend to agree with the "no effect" sentiment, nation-wide.

I updated my original post in red at the bottom.

Iam realy disappointed in what I am reading. First-Chief cannot reveal what is going on. We all know that there are trolls and they are not just looking but analyzing what is being said. Second-the Chief has given enormous amounts of his time, effort, money, and sweat. But what I am reading is thanks Chief for what you have done but I cannot make it. Medical appointments are one thing but inconvenience is another. Third, we may not have another chance. Either we go with this one or we may not go at all. If someone wants to set up a West Coast site that is fine but we need people, not wishes. Wishes will not get attention. If we do not show up why should the MSM? Yes, I went to the Kerry Lied rally. Folks-either we inconvenience ourselves for a day or four years. The choice is ours. Sound general quarters, this is no drill!

OK so instead of complaining to each other what is another approach?
How about a multi pronged approach ?
How would you say a day when people HAND DELIVER copies of articles and Information plus a petition to Local news agencies?

1AD ~ i'm spreading the word, that's my contribution at this time. be careful in criticizing these posters for not making it. we've all been working hard to make this happen! i would LOVE to be there, but there is no way i can make it from SC in that short period of time in the business i'm in.

navy chief & all of you going to DC, you will be in my prayers!! that's something else i'm more than willing to do! i'll spread the word. may God bless your efforts in this! i'm off to send out some emails & rally the troops!

Washington is a bit too far from Washington....I would love to go but the cost.....eeeeeekkkkkkkkk......BUT....I guess those of us that cannot go can do two things........we can be as eager to get the word out about this as we were eager to spread the word this am.........that got a LOT of response and those not able to go can join the prayer wing of the Redhot Amazon Batallion to pray now and through the weekend that this rally will be a huge success.........looks to me like we have our marching orders. Contact the bloggers, all the forums and lists you participate in.....get people stirred up and motivated to be there if they possibly can....LETS ROLL TROOPS....

My friend and I can't get to the D.C. location but we can go to the local news and radio stations with printed information re: the press Conference time for Sunday and what it is regarding. Does this sound helpful?

Not yet please. too many unfriendlies -- I don't need to get slammed by the opposition at this point.
