'Sly' is a real piece of work. He showed up on Hannity and Colmes. The guy appears as a victim of fetal alcohol syndrome and starts off saying all Sean's friends are crackers. He and Sean spiralled down into juvenile name calling and insults. Colmes was the only adult but even he had to condemn the guy.

At the end of the verbal exchange with Hannity, Sly called Hannity an idiot.
They were out of time and Hannity didn't respond.

I think a great champion for Condi’s honor is about to emerge -- we may have to wait a bit because his words will have to be carefully chosen to have the greatest impact on all of the 5 or 6 Americas, and he is probably staying up all night working on this right now and arranging TV appearances in this regard, so we need to be patient. But I tell you, friends, I think we can count on -- John Kerry. I read his speeches (excerpts below) and he looks like a fighter to me and I am not easily fooled. Yes, I think he’s our man to step forward as the most recent head of his party and on their behalf and on our behalf, will put an end to these shameful attacks on one of the most brilliant women this country has produced. As he said, President Bush has turned away from African Americans, so the task of fighting on her behalf will have to fall on him. He says he’s ready “to march” on Washington, and as we all know, he has some experience in that regard -- and that takes some time, too, to decide what to wear and to get all those cars and buses together. I think any day now, any day, we’ll see him rise up and appeal to the “conscience in America” to follow him in doing the right thing, to demand justice -- to condemn and shame the racial attacks and uncalled for insults on Condi, and to give her the respect and admiration she deserves. (I would hate to think that he didn't really mean what he said -- that it might be -- a lie ..... Rolling Eyes...)

Quote:
....140 years after President Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation, it is time to again emancipate this land, to live up to our ideals; it is time for a new moment of conscience in America. .... I also know that George Bush has asked the question, "Does the Democratic Party take African American voters for granted?" Well, here is my answer. The Book of Matthew reminds us, "Beware of false profits (sic) which come to you in sheep's clothing." (Matthew 7:15). ... The president who turns away from African American needs... and then claims he is a friend of Black America can not conceal his identity no matter what clothes he wears. And here is the other part of my answer: We will march with you every step of the way to full equality for all Americans. ... I'm ready to march with you. Will you march with me? ...we all know that the black community can help lead the way. We can't afford to take any vote for granted --

Kerry Remarks at Nat'l Baptist Convention - 9/9/04

....I will be a president who truly is a uniter, not one who seeks to divide our nation by race, riches or any other label. ... the ideals of equal opportunity, fairness and justice that are enshrined in the Constitution. You have not always been greeted with open arms. But you have never flinched from speaking truth to power and you have never lost faith in the American Dream.

Kerry Remarks at NAACP Convention - 7/15/04

(Thanks so much for the article -- waiting for more -- looking for the outcry! The dems are showing their colors, bright and true.)

*sigh* I watched Sylvester on Hannity last night. Just watching him
took me back 35 years to another world. There I was, sitting in the
Olongapo Bar, or maybe D'Wave or Yellow Bar, sucking on a cold
San Miguel. This blowhard is running his mouth across the room. The
hand slips down on the neck of the bottle and with a smooth sidearm
swing......

"Grandpa! What are you smiling about! Aren't you mad at that guy?"

*sigh*
