"Objection your honor...irrelevant!" emanating from the defense table.

That's gonna be a real big number Me#1. A number with that many 0's might be unpronouncable. Very Happy

You know, there's a real problem dealing with moonbats like Kerry.

The problem is these people and their MSM enablers seem to be - to put it gently - dumb as a doornail. It's simply unbelievable.

Example:

Mary Mapes on Rathergate

"Faxing changes a document in so many ways, large and small, that analyzing a memo that had been faxed -- -in some cases not once, but twice -- -was virtually impossible. The faxing destroyed the subtle arcs and lines in the letters. The characters bled into each other. The details of how the typed characters failed to line up perfectly inside each word were lost."

Dear Professor Mapes,

As a scientist, I have a question for you.

What experiments have you done, Professor, to prove your hypothesis that repeated FAXING can turn a fixed-pitch document you allege was typed in the early 1970's into a proportionally-spaced one that lines up quite precisely with the same text typed on a late version of Microsoft Word?

-----------------------------

Dear Swiftvets,

This level of sheer, blatant, unadulterated, massive, paralyzing stupidity is hard to fight. It's hard to fight when you're either laughing hysterically - or crying when you realize this is representative of the intelligence level of the MSM folks who made your lives a living hell for the past three decades.

From Redstate.org (posted by Airdale in Vets Forum)...

Quote:
John Kerry Sued
By: Nick Danger · Section: News

Complaint alleges Defamation, Business Disparagement, Interference with Contractual Relations, Civil Conspiracy

On October 3, the Vietnam Veterans Legacy Foundation ("VVLF") and filmmaker Carlton Sherwood filed a lawsuit against John Kerry and Anthony Podesta for Defamation, Conspiracy, and other claims. The suit was filed in the Eastern District Court of Pennsylvania.

Predictably enough, the Washington Post went immediately to work, telling us that "A filmmaker has sued Sen. John Kerry and a one-time campaign aide" before handing the microphone to the DNC and Kerry's staff. Kerry spokesman David Wade said, "This is simply more of the same smears and sleaze against a decorated Vietnam veteran from more of the same serial liars who disgraced themselves in 2004."

Before he tells us about his "decorated war veteran," Mr. Wade might want to know more about who is suing him. The president of the Vietnam Veterans Legacy Foundation is Colonel George E. ("Bud") Day (USAF, Ret.), pictured at right.

Colonel Day is a recipient of the Medal of Honor. He is a veteran of three wars – WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. He is the most decorated living Air Force veteran. As a fighter pilot in Vietnam, Colonel Day was shot down over North Vietnam on August 26, 1967. He spent 67 months as a Prisoner of War. His roommate at the "Hanoi Hilton," John McCain, has said this:
Quote:
"I don't know how many American Prisoners of War were heroes. But I know that Bud Day was one. In my life, I have never known anyone who better exemplifies the cardinal American virtues: compassion, guts, determination, resourcefulness and intelligence. Bud Day is one of the greatest men I have ever had the honor to know."

Today, Bud Day is a practicing attorney in Florida. This is the man that Senator Kerry is setting out to slime as a "serial liar."

More below the fold

Oct 8th, 2005: 09:05:49

All of the principals of the VVLF are Vietnam Veterans. The majority of the board members are either former POWs themselves, or the spouse of a former POW. The likelihood of them all being "serial liars" is laughably small.

The lawsuit concerns the documentary Stolen Honor: Wounds That Never Heal, produced by Carlton Sherwood. Sherwood is a newspaper and television investigative reporter who has won both the Pulitzer prize and the George Foster Peabody Award... journalism's highest honors. The media will soon enough be telling us that Sherwood is a "serial liar" too.

James H. Warner, now on the Board of Directors of the VVLF, was held as a POW for five years. He is the recipient of the Silver Star, the Legion of Merit, two Bronze Stars, two Purple Hearts, eleven Air Medals, and the Navy Commendation Medal. In the film, Mr. Warner tells of being interrogated while held captive by the North Vietnamese. The interrogator went through John Kerry's public statements and told Warner that Kerry, a naval officer, had admitted that Warner was a war criminal who deserved punishment.

The lawsuit alleges a coordinated conspiracy and campaign by Kerry, Podesta, and others to discredit and silence Sherwood and Stolen Honor through a campaign of "knowing, deliberate, and malicious falsehoods about Sherwood and Stolen Honor" and of "illegitimate and malicious threats" directed at those who had agreed to show the film.

The full text of the complaint is available as a pdf file (819 KB) here.

Bush 'hack' fires back at John Kerry

Compiled by Tribune-Review staff
Sunday, October 9, 2005

John Kerry appears to be in a bit of legal hot water.
The Massachusetts senator and last year's Democrat presidential nominee was sued in Philadelphia last week for alleged defamation, conspiracy and interference with contractual relations.

The lawsuit's plaintiff is award-winning journalist Carlton Sherwood, who contends his anti-Kerry documentary "Stolen Honor: Wounds that Never Heal" was torpedoed last year by Kerry and other top Dems.

The Philadelphia Daily News reported the lawsuit alleges that Kerry, during last year's presidential campaign, directed the Democratic National Committee to label Sherwood as "an extreme right-wing activist."

This directive supposedly was given just before the documentary was to be aired on Sinclair Broadcasting's 62 stations nationwide. Sinclair subsequently backed out of plans to broadcast the documentary in its entirety.

The lawsuit also alleges that Kerry's Pennsylvania campaign manager, Anthony Podesta, circulated an e-mail labeling Sherwood as a "disgraced former journalist" and "Bush hack" who "crawled out of the gutter." Podesta is a codefendant in the litigation.

Kerry, who is married to Pittsburgh ketchup heiress Teresa Heinz, had no immediate comment on the lawsuit.

An interesting sidebar to this story is contained in the translation of a recently intercepted letter from Al Zawahiri (Bin Laden's #2) to Al Zarqawi (the new butcher of Baghdad). In the letter, Zawahiri advises Zarqawi to take heart from the collapse of American forces in Vietnam in anticipating a similar outcome in Iraq.

Quote:
You might ask an important question: What drives me to broach these matters while we are in the din of war and the challenges of killing and combat?

My answer is, firstly: Things may develop faster than we imagine. The aftermath of the collapse of American power in Vietnam - and how they ran and left their agents - is noteworthy.

John Hinderaker of PowerLine comments:

Quote:
Well, it [withdrawal of US forces] must be noteworthy. It's all the liberal Democrats and their friends in the media can talk about. No wonder Zawahiri finds the Vietnam precedent encouraging.

So, the effect of Lurch's treason lives to this day. Maybe justice will yet be served.

http://www.powerlineblog.com/ (12 Oct 05) carries a fuller translation of the Zawahiri letter and compares the output from the liberal MSM today to the Vietnam era.

I was about to post a similar message myself after seeing http://www.breitbart.com/news/2005/10/12/D8D6GP801.html via Drudge.

This is the legacy of John and Jane and the "anti war" (i.e., anti America) left.
