The Chief asked that you trust him. He has not been wrong yet.

I have been asked by the highest authorities (No -- I will not expound) to not hold this Rally.

Although our actions and intent has been nothing but honorable, this effort will not serve our purposes.

My sincerest apologies for this but I must ask that we stand down...

I certainly hope the "highest authorities" know what they are doing and I don't like this anymore than anyone else but I must ask you to stand down.

We can however, return to our previous effort in getting the truth to media outlets, Congress, and other influencial organizations.

This was a great idea and I'm very disappointed -- I hope you will forgive me for this. I'm assured that all will be clear in time (yeah right).

Attention, Arizona FReepers in the Sedona area. We need you help to break the story about the Kerry less than honorable discharge. On a thread from yesterday, it was said that retired Col. Thomas Lockhart had worked with the Sec. of the Navy and knew about the discharge. I have located Lockhart in Sedona, AZ and have been calling him for about 24 hours. His phone is busy, probably to keep the press away. I have his address. If one of you can send me FReepmail, I'll give it to you. Can you pay him a visit and get the...

I would just like to know what is going on. I have, like all of you put my reputation on the line...

There is a buzz going around from Bush supporters that there is no credibility...

Since we have been asked to stand down (don't know what I am going to do with my plane ticket to DC now)...

I think...in one post we have a right to know what is going on. If there is evidence fine...let's hear it and it will spread through the internet like a wild fire...and the media will have no choice but to acknowledge it.

Newt Gingridge said that the reason the NYT broke the fake story early was because of Internet Bloggers...

so where is the goods...the other threrad has been closed "pending review" not sure what that means...

While this developement is dissapointing and upsetting, let's not run off half-cocked about it. We are not sitting in the pilot's seat facing total ruin over any of this. Others are.

In the meantime, we have several other avenues open that are documented and verified. Let's use them and just hope this too pans out in time to use.

Stand Down means just that. Try to be patient, this is far above any of us.

This information got all over the net. Plans started for people to go to DC for a press conference! Those plans were cancelled! The 'Information" has not been made public. Peoples hopes got up, only to have the wind taken out of their sails!

Can someone please explain to me why after the countless hours of research over the last several months it's not time to expend all the ammo now? Why are you waiting till after the election? There is so much info here that has not seen the light of day. CALL ALL HANDS AND SPEND EVERY BIT OF AMMO NOW!

Hey guys, cool down! This was a combat op; it got cancelled by higher command. Not the first time something like that has gone down. Now, we have to recycle. Give everybody time. Nobody's giving up. We just need to reposition.

Vets so far have a good rep, with the exception of kerry of course. We certainly do not want to jump in like Rather (unless it is Mon night and real good!). Disappointed, but ready if anything else comes up no matter how short the notice.
