Sure they will. Remember Michelle Malkin saying she had to ask for her book back? I'm thinking these press goons are in some kind of gulag - and hungry for news from the outside. Unfit for Command - someone's got a copy? Who? Where? Can I read it? No . . Michelle . . no. Don't take it away.

Ok, but those that read it are so unable to believe it that they cannot comprehend or remember it.

I ordered my copy from Amazon.com two weeks ago and it arrived Monday. Warning: plan on reading the whole thing through, you can't put it down! Kudos to the Swift Boat Vets for taking this issue to heart and informing the public of the truth. John Kerry for President - When Pigs Fly! Thanks! Julie

I ordered the book from Amazon on August 9th and it arrived today. I have ordered another copy for my son, on August 22 and it won't arrive until Sept. 7. I checked Costco and Borders this weekend and neither store had any copies.

There five Costco's, just in this area, that I know of. And at least one had an order in that should have arrived today, or maybe tomorrow. Walmart should be getting these. And I had been put off by Amazon by a week, they 'slipped' their ship date. But it was delivered to my door on Monday, with Patterson's book. I think Amazon did just fine, in my opinion. I think the publisher has had trouble getting out the book. The quality isn't quite up to the Patterson book, which is also from Regenery. It looks almost like they speeded up the presses, and grabbed whatever old newspapers were laying around - get 'em out the door! Even the edge trim is a bit rough compared to the Patterson book. But then, that could just be my copy. I didn't buy it as a collector's first edition. I just wanted to see what they wrote.

I have just cancelled my order for 13 items. I have ordered many books from Amazon in the past, but the liberally-biased change-of-policy re: allowing ad hominem attacks against ONLY "Unfit for Command" is inexcusable and intolerable. Please delete "My Account" from your database, take me off any of your mailing lists, and never bother me again. I will NEVER order from Amazon again, and have sent thousands of e-mails, from both my professional and personal e-mail distribution lists, requesting my friends, family, and business associates consider doing the same. Best regards, Mark A. Sass

Dear Amazon.com Customer,

Your order has been successfully canceled. For your reference, here's a
summary of your order:

You just canceled order #103-6968834-0208666 placed on August 11, 2004.

Status: CANCELED

I suppose I don't have to worry anymore about Amazon being late in their deliveries to me. I encourage others to get their copies of Unfit for Command or the recently released DVD, Passion of the Christ, at other retail outlets, if possible.

01 Sept 04
Three copies of UFC - shipped from Amazon.com TODAY. Methinks Amazon is just being very conservative about making promises...no complaints here. Cool

See below for history:

Honestly, I don't think there's any conspiracy here.

It's obvious that supply has simply been out-stripped by demand and Amazon was ill-prepared for it. Amazon is a warehouse seller. They quite clearly ran out of stock.

I don't think that even John O'Neill and J. Corsi were expecting it to hit the NYT bestseller list as fast as it did, or to sell this many copies.

Certainally the publisher didn't. They're on what? Their 10th printing now? Have a little patiance. There's no conspiracy here. Just unexpected demand and perhaps a bit of poor planning.
