Guys, Chris Matthews was SO UNPREPARED when he ambushed Michelle Malkin the other night, he actually tried to FLIP THROUGH HER COPY OF UNFIT FOR COMMAND after he kicked her off his show so he could try to verify the Swift Vet's claim Kerry 'shot himself'.
that's right. Michelle brings up the fact that many of the vet's quoted in Unfit for Command say two of Kerry's Purple Heart wounds were 'self-inflicted' and IMMEDIATELY Matthews jumped her, insinuating she was claiming that 'Kerry shot himself on purpose' to get a Purple Heart and tried to ram that intepretation down her throat and she WOULD NOT LET HIM DO IT.
So he got so PISSED at her, he threw her off his show after the end of the first segment; the second segment she was supposed to talk about her new book, In Defense of Internment, but Matthews told her she was gone.
So as she's going to leave, she finds one of the MSNBC staffers has gone and gotten HER copy of Unfit For Command and Matthews is now thumbing through it trying to see if he's right AFTER THE FACT.
She had to ask for her own book back. Apparently MSNBC DOES NOT OWN A COPY OF THE SWIFT VET'S BOOK EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT IT EVERY DAY FOR THE PAST TWO WEEKS.
I sent Mr. Matthews some VERY POINTED EMAILS about this, especially since he posted on his blog that he 'caught' Michelle in a lie, that she claimed 'Kerry shot himself on purpose' and then he, noble defender of the truth, got her to retract that ridiculous claim. What BS.
Unprepared? Matthews is talking on national TV about charges found in a book he hasn't even read, attributes an argument to a guest that that guest is not even making and then throws her off his show when she refuse to back down to him.

QUESTION? Gardener stated that kerry should have been on the radar and known that the sanpan was nearby. Due to the fact that kerry was lollygagging, the sanpan got within the perimeter unnoticed and the result was death for a kid...and emotional scars for Gardener.
Dereliction of duty according to the UCMJ:
"(UCMJ) it is contained within the regulations governing the failure to obey an order or regulation. It means that one willfully, through negligence or culpable inefficiency fails to perform one's expected duties. Ineptitude is a defence against the charge. The maximum penalty in the US is a bad-conduct discharge A military discharge is given when a member of the armed forces is released from their obligation to serve".

"forfeiture of pay and six months confinement. Acts which are derelict may be charged under more specific offences such as missing movement, noncompliance with procedural rules, misbehaviour, malingering, self-injury Self-harm is deliberate injury to one's own body. (In the past this term has also been used to refer to masturbation, although it is now generally accepted that this practice is not harmful: this article is not about that usage).
This injury may be aimed at relieving otherwise unbearable emotions, sensations of unreality & numbness, or for other reasons. Self-harm is socially taboo. It is often (but not always) associated with mental illnesses such as bipolar disorder, anorexia; with a history of trauma and abuse; and with mental traits such as perfectionism". _________________ kerry returned to the United States on July 22, 1971, held a press conference publicly calling on President Nixon... for the surrender of the United States to North Vietnam. |

Kerry was most likely napping. No way to prove that, though. |
