Just re-upped in the Texas Guard after 11 years and am awaiting orders for Iraq.

Spent 3 years as an 11B and another 3 years as 19D

Desert Storm with the 2/2 ACR

Current MOS will be 21B combat engineer, but school will have to wait.
My unit is currently at Ft Hood prepping for deployment. Just waiting to join them and get up to speed.

On May 10, 1972, Skull platoon was in a chinook on their way for 3-days of R&R in Vung Tao when the chinook crashed. All 28 members of Skull platoon died. Included were CP (Skipper and his two RTO's) as well as the crew of the Chinook. 34 brothers died that day and NOT ONE were guilty of the attrocities Kerry accuse them of. NOT ONE. All young honorable men doing their job. Their names sit together at the upper portion of the left panel from the apex of the Vietnam Memorial in D.C. In their honor and those who served, the truth must be told. It's about time!! Thank you Swift Vets and POW's for Truth.

I spent almost 25 years in uniform-1974 to 1978 USAF Active duty and 1983-2003 USAF Reserves.

My last deployment was Operation Enduring Freedom- A 90 day tour to provide security to a base in Qatar that was supporting the ops in Afghanistan. Gee- now I never heard a shot fired in anger but if anyone remembers Oct 01- A nut with an AK opened up on our toops at the gate and was dropped by an AF cop with a 9mm. It was Indian Country.
As Security Forces, if nobody attacks, and all are alive in the morning, you've done your job.

So I guess if I run for office I can use my 90 day tour as the sole platform.

Mr. Kerry had an action packed 4 months, 3 if you don't count the training phase. I served with troops that did full year tours in Viet Nam and more and didn't seee as much as him.

And now, if he is elected the lame will walk. Will the blind see, the dead rise? Is the second coming of our savior at hand?

It is my own, albeit humble, opinion he is the antichrist-notice lower case, don't want to give him equal billing with the real lord.

This man scares me. I'm retired now, but I worry about the troops in my unit that still may serve under this buffoon.

Mr. Kerry, a wise old E-6 once told me-Never lie about your service, there was always someone else there. Take heed you liar

After recruit training and school, I spent 3 years at Marine Barracks, Naval Weapons Station, Fallbrook CA. I spent the next 4 years with the ISMO, 1st FSSG, Camp Pendleton CA. My husband retired in 2002 with 20 years in the US Marine Corps.

Hello all. My background is U.S. Army. US ARMY ACTIVE DUTY 1971-1999;RETIRED 1999. WORK FOR US NAVY AS FEDERAL CIVIL SERVICE EMPLOYEE. I enlisted specifically for 67N (Helicopter Repairman Apprentice) knowing that I would likely get orders for Vietnam after my schooling but I didn't go after all because of President Nixon's winding down the role the Americans had in the war. Later went back to Fort Rucker for WOBC. I retired in 1999 for health reasons and currently work for the Navy as a "Human Resouce Assistant" I.e. "clerks & jerks. Hey, it's a living.

I'm an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Navy, having served under Commander-In-Chief Ronald Reagan who won the Cold War. May God rest his soul.

In the 1980s I completed a 6-year enlistment (2 years in reserves) as a crewmember onboard a Lafayette Class Nuclear Ballistic Missle Submarine, a Fast Frigate, and a Destroyer Tender as a Deck Department Seaman with a total accumulated time at sea of approximately 3 years. I completed bootcamp at Orlando, Sub School at Groton and was home-port stationed for 2 years at Charleston and 2 years at Norfolk. I sailed the Caribbean and North Atlantic, and was briefly stationed at Gitmo and Scotland. I'm a Bluenose. Due to the nature of my prior service and inherent TS issues, I may at times, choose not to disclose specific vessel names and dates, and I desire to remain somewhat anonymous.

I was never required to participate in active fighting with an official "enemy", however, I will certainly be forever grateful for all of those U.S. military men and women who have faced such danger. I deeply admire the Swiftboat Veterans for Truth for their bold and steadfast campaign to shine the light of truth on that scoundrel John Kerry. I often further their cause in my personal conversations and e-mails. I hope to participate in this forum by contributing my viewpoint as well as learning from the insight of others by asking questions. Thank you.

Just now getting around to logging in. I served in the Navy in WESPAC on board the Mount McKinley 67 and 68. Then spent 6 months on the Bulloch County supporting the Riverine forces between Cam Rahn Bay and Cua Viet. Only got shot at once; they missed. Mustered out as a Lt(jg) in October, 69. Usual assortment of medals--nothing special.

But the anti-war crap from John Kerry, Jane Fonda, and all their comrades has stuck in my craw ever since I returned. What the Swifties have done is in the highest tradition of the armed forces of the United States. They have fought back! Against enormous odds but with firm conviction they were on the right side. Next week I plan to celebrate Veterans' Day on Tuesday as Hanoi John crashes and burns because of the deadly accurate return fire of John O'Neil and 260+ courageous fellow vets.

My name is Tim McNabb. I joined the Army in 1984 to see the world and got stationed 150 miles from home at Ft. Leonard Wood.

I did three years on a four year hitch, honorably discharged for the convenience (between a new Armored Combat Earthmover and feeding me for a year, they went with the gear).

Trained as a Quarrying Specialist (62G10)

I'm proud of my service, and the best leaders in my unit were Vietnam era vets (with one exception - I think a round went off too close to his head or something).

My name is Bob Chalmers and I served in the destroyer Navy from 1966 until 1972. I served on board the USS Claude V. Ricketts (DDG-5) from 1966 to mid 1970 and then the USS Lowery (DD-770) until I got out in 1972.

I was an FTG2, (Gun Fire Control, 2nd Class), E-5.

Ah yes, one more thing. I've been a Democrat for 35+ years. A Democrat who will not vote for John Kerry if he were the only name on the ballot!

Hi, all! I'm Hal and I'm an old, retired coot! My service was as a s/sgt in the Army with the 7824 Signal Corps Unit, stationed in Stuttgart, Germany, from Oct. 1949, to June, 1952. (I was blessed with an additional 10 months by President Truman--bless his soul!) I've been told that makes me a "Korean Era" vet, and I never have fired a shot in anger! Volunteered, along with many in my company, for Korea when THAT broke out, but they made us stay and play stare-down with the Russians.

Following my service, I entered San Jose State University, graduating in 1968, with a wife and three kids!
My father was a manager in the old Lockheed Skunk works when they built the F104, the U2 and, finally, the Blackbird. He retired after 30 years there. I worked for Lockheed (now Lockheed-Martin) for 32 years, retiring in 1990. Worked on Agena motors, Polaris and Poseidon missiles, until I retired.

Glad for the chance to support our troops, who are doing one helluva job!
Glad also to thank the many of you who got shot at and still stuck it out, whether it was Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm, or Iraq (Not discounting all the "smaller" shoot-ups like Grenada, etc.)

I don't support Kerry because of his admission to meeting VC in Paris--while still in service!
