Y'all felt the wind, here are the facts...(I don't know if this has been posted, but I'll put the link up anyway.)
Remember, the President spent 10 hours , with the Florida Hurricane victims, before going to the debate...The Man is everywhere...If he isn't flying around the world, he's handing out ice...or what ever he has to do...Busy guy, huh???

Leadersip requires the ability to inspire the trust and respect of those who follow. John Kerry does none of that.
Moses wan't a great public speaker yet he led the people out of bondage in Egypt. The President once said that he believed that God wanted him to be president and I for one am satisfied with Gods choice. The president hasn't done anything that I wouldn't do in the same circumstances. Indeed, I often think that he must have been reading my mind.
I've never met the President personally but if I did I think we could be good friends. I like the man. I do NOT like John Kerry. It doesn't matter one jot to me who wins this ridiculous debate. I'm voting for President Bush. Mad

After checking out the georgewbush.com website for facts to rebut Kerry's claim, there is NOTHING on Kerry's proposal to provide nuclear fuel to Iran, after Kerry said TWICE during the debate that Iran is becoming dangerous and once that Iran is pursuing nuclear weapons.

How did this blunder by Kerry slip past the Bush campaign?

It's obviously a folded piece of paper, and most likely notes like those he apparently uses in stump speeches. Somebody didn't tell him, he just forgot, or he just didn't care.

The opinion at the time was that it was a draw, or that Bush won. But the immediate 'spin' caught on, at least for that one debate. And some with the opinions may have then changed their minds, where they didn't in subsequent debates. What hurt President Bush, however, were McNeil's slanted questions. He was the most unprofessional and unqualified to moderate any of those debates. I think the consensus is that his 'understudy', Gwenn Ifill, was the most fair. But that might only be due to the format of the debate, in which both men were in physical proximity to her and she didn't dare challenge Cheney, up close as it were. Then again, perhaps Ifill is positioning herself as the 'balanced' alternative to 'coal-eyed' Lehrer (I swear that guy looks he has just come from some ritual in a musty cavern somewhere, with the robes and the pentagrams and the rest).

I believe the model was that of Clinton dealing with N. Korea, in which I believe fuel was supplied according to the ruse that it would be 'monitored'.

He was best of the worst of the 'seven dwarves', as seen by Dem operatives in the smokey back-rooms. So he was selected as the 'popular' candidate - the anybody but Bush.

The problem, and I say this even to the Dem on this board, IS - THE DEMOCRAT PARTY! and the LM! It's a group, a clique, a faction, a colossal special interest. Kerry's support has been:

  • a campaign of omission by the LM, just as it was for Clinton and Gore
  • a further campaign of calumny against the sitting President in time of war by the same pervasive LM
  • millions upon millions from wealthy Dem/Socialist contributors, such as Soros
  • intimidation of Republicans, shootings, attacks on HQs, threats to individuals
  • a Dem base motivated perhaps only by vice and destructive self-loathing, carefully instructed by the LM, consisting of perhaps 30-40% of the voting population!
  • schemes to stuff ballot boxes by way of 'provisional voting', voting in multiple states, fraudulent signatures even from the dead, the temporary enfranchisement of citizens of other countries and particularly overseas

And I'm sure I've left a few things out, such as local discontent with a 'restructuring economy', legitimate concern with post-war planning, and so on. Given all that, Bush should be 15% down in the polls. I believe, instead, he's up and near 8% over the next week, and well over 300 electoral votes. The 'band of lawyers' may try to attempt a coup in this country. But I think, just once, just this one time, the legal system will stop them dead. But we'll see.
