Nobody left behind.

Somebody who is in touch with Steve, keep this board posted on what is needed.

Try to keep it updated, and stay on top of it, so we know when he's got what he needs.

Sorry I am late on this. My Link for this Site kept telling me that it was unavailable. Rolling Eyes Someone sent me the corrected Link.

By all means let's do everything that we can for Steve Gardner. If he needs money then let's send money.

If anyone in the North/South Carolina area has any ideas of possible job opportunities then let's let him know so that he can send in a Resume. Surely some of us from that area can do some research and find the job openings there and send them to him. I had heard that the Charlotte area was booming right now and hiring like crazy. Anybody in Charlotte?

Let's keep after his former employer with a vengeance. Don't stop at one E-Mail. Send one E-Mail everyday. And let's get this story out on all the Blogs and to those people at FOX News who helped us so much before.

If the SwiftVets and POWs for Truth cannot rally behind Steve Gardner after all he did to expose John Kerry then we should be ashamed. Do you want John Kerry laughing at us? If we fail at protecting the back of one of our own who gave so much then that is exactly what Kerry is doing.

Another check will go out tomorrow. I received email from him some time ago and a nice 'thank you' letter for the last check. I had hoped after the TV stint, someone would have offered him a job. A couple of us have contacts in Greensboro, but that is FAR from Steves home. Hoping he will update us with good news soon.

I got a note from Steve and he has not been hired yet, but may have an offer to consider after the first of the year. He wish me and my family a Merry Christmas and seems to be in good spirits. Very Happy

God Bless him and I hope we all get to say a little prayer for Steve and his family that his situation works out for the best.

I also had the opportunity and privilege to send him a gift. In return I received a note and Christmas cheer.
Best of Luck Steve!!! Wink Wink Wink Wink

I emailed him on 12/23/04 before heading out of town for another run, with what I hope may turn into employment for him. The company operates Carrier Transicold dealerships in the Carolina's with their HQ in Charlotte, NC.
I gave him the owners name and offered assistance getting him in the door to talk with the owner.

This is his reply, cut & pasted:

Thanks Michael,

I’ll call them after Christmas and talk to them. Thanks for your concern, SteveG

I haven't heard anything else. I'm considering calling the company I referred him to

He's still looking last I heard.
We've got a coffee bin for spare change--calling it Steve's bin.
