For JK: Your observations are dead on. The moderators were appointed by the Presidential Debates Commision which consisted of 4 Republicans and 4 Democrats and Janet Brown, the director. Needless to say the Republicans on that commission let the president down.
The president has done well in both debates but the deck is stacked against him. The liberals run rings around our side with their spin and propaganda after the debates. They are the masters.
In addition, their spin is so persuasive they always convince wishy-washy Republicans and Conservatives in the punditry world to concede defeat early and the naive and gullible succumb like the pied piper`s followers. You can bet the ranch we`ll take another beating tomorrow night from that same combination. |

I called the Presidential Debates Commission to ask, "Exactly who chose these particular moderators?" I'm trying to get all eight names and find out who are they are. First I got an answering service, then I called again and the woman who answered said she didn't know anything and asked me why I wanted to know! I told her I was writing something -- this posting! But maybe I'll be writing something else too... -- and she took my name and number and said someone would call me back. We'll see. I will keep pestering them until I get a straight answer or it becomes crystal clear that I will not be getting one, at which point I will encourage someone else to pester them. Anyway, if YOU also want to pester them so we can perhaps find out why all the "moderators" are liberals, here's their number: 202 - 872 - 1020. Here's their web address with the phone # at the very bottom of the page: http://www.debates.org/pages/education.html I was really angry about the last question to President Bush: "What three mistakes did you make?" In my opinion, two of them were agreeing to nothing but liberal "moderators" -- his people should have insisted on Brit Hume doing one of the debates, and some other conservative doing one of the others. -- Gerson |
