Remember that the Universities and Media outlets have a free right of assembly as well. If their consumers don't like the professors and commentators they don't have to "assemble" with them which will force, for their very survival, the elimination of those doing a bad job.

It's sad to see this happen to Linda, as I have always been a big fan of most of her music. Well, not so sad to see her boo'd, but sad to see her go dopey lefty on me. 
I believe that the entertainment industry, and mass media in general, have been the single largest negative impact on the human race since the human race began. Makes me want to hurl when I see yet another awards show advertizement, promising lots of self congratulatory back patting for the incredible, awesome, powerful, wonderful, fabulous, stupendous, (insert elitist superlative here) show that they're going to put on to help inflate a bunch of overpaid perfomers' egos and wallets. What a puke fest. The end result of all of the "work" that happens in hollyweed is a negative impact on society. They're lower than tribbles ladies and gentlemen. Below lillies of the field.
Linda, if you're reading this, this is a very sad day for this MarineBrat who had been such a big fan of yours. I still remember way back when you were boinking Jerry Brown. Boy I had the hots for you then. I figured you were smarter than this. Oh well, Karla Bonoff was the real talent behind your rise anyway. I wonder where she is politically? Probably smart enough to not insult half of her fans, whichever side she's on.
