I understand that you did not have to directly serve "on" his boat to know him but how many people served under Kerry "on" his boat. Do you know how many of those people support him? and how many are deceased and so- on...?

I thought Steve performed very well given the circumstances. He was given a limited amount of time for responses.

If I was not informed, and had watched this interview I would have come away believing that Kerry lied about Cambodia to get the gov't to do what he wanted concerning Viet Nam. I would also have come away believing that Kerry performed heroically in Nam and that the doctor that treated Kerry is the one who signed off on the paperwork, not the Dr. the Swifties claim. Steve sounded much more confident on the radio, which is understandable. Heck, most of us would have tripped over our tongues and not gotten out half of what Steve managed to. Too bad you don't have a professional debater among you:)

Did any of you notice Bill O'Riley calling SBVFT "Swift Boat Veterans "AGAINST" the Truth"?

War Woof!

War Dog,

I thought he meant to say Swift Boat Veterans AGAINST Kerry, them realized that wasn't the name and combined the right version and the wrong version.

But maybe I'm being generous.

Mr. Gardner did NOT do OK.

Before anyone says it, that's NOT a slam against Steve.

The fact is, MOST people don't "give good interview".

But y'all better FIND one who DOES.

Put it this way...
There was NOBODY watching that interview tonight who was more inclined to be in his corner, and I found the interview painful to watch.

He only had 5 minutes and the main point lost was O'Reilly's claim that Louis Letson did not treat Kerry. That should be vetted through the medic who signed the sick bay form. Is J C Carreon available for interview?

You need someone going in front of these premadonnas who will shut them up and get the story out.

There's someone out there that can
"shut the "premadonna" Bill O'Reilly Up? "
Now, THAT's breaking news! Very Happy

I thought Mr Gardner did just fine in
the SHORT amount of time he was alotted.
It was very disappointing how little time was given
to him on such an important issue with so much information
to impart.

He just needed more time, nothing else.

Yep, I did catch that..
I hope it was just a slip of the tongue
and nothing more
I wonder what Mr Gardner thought of that.

Whether he did okay or did poorly, can we agree that he could do better with practice and we could all do better. I am sick of hearing the Swift Vets getting cut up on talk radio and not having good answers.

If you think everything is okay, fine. If you want to do better, we can. Please see a list I just posted called "answering democrat attacks". This is just a beginning and a rough draft but it is a start of a comprehensive tutorial on how to kick ass in a debate with Kerry supporters. Ad your questions and answers and lets get tough and get ready so we win every time. Thanks

Dwight

I'm a huge O'Reilly fan, but he has really pissed me off the way he is treating the Swift Boat Vets.
I believe he is being tough on the vets so that he can get Kerry on his show, and if he does, he will nail him on that Cambodian lie.

YES!!!!! Bill needs a break.

Cambodia issue...great way to vilify Nixon and get favor with the anti war movement...at Vets expense.

SharpTalons...
The left with Bill's help will create a PERCEPTION that only those immediately on Kerry's boat count. IF...that PERCEPTION is allowed to persist then it will be passed off as TRUTH!

O'Reilly doesn't care one iota about what hijinks and shenanigans Kerry pulled in Vietnam. He looked bored to death, like someone made him do this subject, and then curtly dismissed Mr. Gardner by saying he read the USA Today article on the Swiftvets, as if that is the be all and end all on the matter. I read the USA Today article and it was full of lies and inaccuracies. What happened to O'Reilly's much touted (by him) "No Spin Zone"? My advice to the Swiftvets is to have Mr. Odell go up against the stonewallers like O'Reilly and the like. O'Reilly was a big disappointment but what do you expect from someone who sat on his butt while you did the fighting for him in Vietnam? Now he's bored with the whole subject of Vietnam and wants you all to just go away because of the USA Today article. That way he'll be "free" to run his mouth, that freedom to do so won for him by the very veterans he now wants to shut up.
