I don't consider Zogby to be reliable. He heavily weights his polls to the left. Take his number and add 3 to 5 points for the conservatives and you will have it about right. _________________ Nomorelies Make a donation HERE |

I also have heard about Zogby's bias. I think many are, Gallup is the closest I've seen to accurate, but even they are suspect lately.
Remember the LA Times poll the day before the California recall election had Arnold losing to Bustamente. Their poll was off by about 30 points. I like the odds-makers 'poll', I think it's probably the most realistic.

It sure doesn't seem that way from THIS site. :>) Not sure that's true, but if so it seems things might be changing. Hope so. _________________ Doug

We live in New York (no, NOT the City). There have been recent rumblings that NY State is no longer a given for Kerry. You have to understand that in New York politics, even if EVERY upstate resident voted Republican/Conservative, the population of NYC alone can easily outvote the rest of us (we need an electoral college just for our state elections!).
The possibility, though admittedly slim, that Kerry could actually be defeated in NY makes us absolutely giddy! If it looks like this may happen on Election Night, we'll be switching from FOX News over to CBS posthaste, just to watch the reactions of Dan Rather et al. Talk about priceless!
Incidentally, the same rumblings have been heard from NJ, which is more Democratic than NY, if that's possible! |

We would all do well to remember the words of Mark Twain: "There are three kinds of lies - lies, damn lies and statistics." Polls pretty often fall into the latter category. |
