Who says it's threatening? You're entitled to your beliefs.
I don't care who joined the VVAW or why. They were a KGB-fed bunch of propagandists who scooped up disillusioned soldiers, made them feel like a part of something at a time when society ostracized them.
Which is TRULY ironic, since VVAW was so instrumental in getting them their terrible reputation in the first place.
There are no doubt groups in existence doing that very thing, today.
And someday, when the leader of one of those groups wants to run for President of the United States, my sons will be around to tell people the truth about these times and these groups and these liars who are promising troops legal and financial aid if they desert. They're going to tell about the deserters who fled to Canada and lived like kings in exile on money raised through such groups.
And the shine will be off those leaders, just as it's coming off of John Kerry, today. _________________ ~ Echo Juliet ~
