Thanks so much Sam! (Aristotle)

I love visiting Swiftvets.com everyday just to see what you all have cooked up! It's so much more refreshing than MSM, that's for sure.

This just goes to show ya intelligence does NOT = common sense or integrity. I've known so many college-educated lazy-butts who couldn't get a real job.

I don't understand why the American public buy into "style" over substance so often. What a bunch of sheep.

I guess Kerry couldn't be too stupid, or he wouldn't make it look so easy to lie.

I would LOVE to see this story on CNN, oh come to think of it, I don't ever watch CNN.

It doesn't take intelligence to lie. All it takes is a lack of a conscience! Shocked

I sent a "please verify" note to Steve Sailer who wrote the IQ article about the query from a fellow Swifty.

"I was in a rush to get to work this AM, so didn't hear the entire story, but Fox and Friends was doing something on IQ's, indicating Bush's IQ was higher than Kerry's."

Yes, I was on the Fox News cable channel Tuesday morning for about 3 or 4 minutes at about 8:44am. Seemed to go well, I wasn't on long enought to make humiliating mistakes, but we went over the basics of the story pretty satisfactorily.

Thanks,
Steve

Steve gives us an update on IQ story

Not many Kerry defenders defend Kerry's IQ -- I've received lots of angry responses to my recent article on Kerry's IQ claiming that Bush's IQ today must be much lower than how he tested as a youth, but not many claiming that Kerry is much smarter than I estimated. (A few have argued, reasonably, that Kerry would have scored higher on a more verbally-oriented tested than the Navy's Officer Qualification Test, a point I'd already suggested in my article.) After four years of Bush as President, everybody is entitled to an opinion on Bush, but Kerry remains much more of a closed book, which is why I brought to light some objective information about Kerry.

So, here's a non-partisan IQ question for Kerry supporters: How does Kerry compare to Al Gore, for whom we have a lot of data: Gore tested at an IQ of 133 when entering high school and 134 when leaving, 1355 SAT score (about 1420 under the post 1994 scoring system)? All these numbers suggest Gore was solidly in the 98th, maybe the 99th, percentile. Gore probably would not get into Harvard today with those scores, if he wasn't the son of a Senator, but he could probably get into several Ivy League colleges. In contrast, my estimate for Kerry is roughly between the 90th and 95th percentiles. Any Kerry supporters out there want to argue that Kerry is smarter than Gore? As smart as Gore?

After the election this quote will be amended. New version below

Does anyone in America doubt that Bush has a higher IQ than Kerry? I'm sure the candidates' SATs and college transcripts would put Bush far ahead."

The same guy that has been lying through his teeth saying that all of his records were available for public viewing on his website has just said, "I don't know where they got that from. My records are not public."

WHAT? You mean you didn't sign the form 180 releasing ALL your military records? YOU DON'T SAY!

Apparently the senator was so rattled by the question put to him by Tom Brokaw regarding President Bush's IQ having been determined to be higher than his own. (see story) Mr. Brokaw, being a professional main stream journalist chose not to notice the contradiction. (I'm Shocked. Shocked.)

My records were released before they weren't released. We get it.

He really did look shaken. I think that little tidbit is going to play havoc with his narcissistic personality disorder.

What's that you say?

Narcissistic Personality Disorder - Diagnostic Criteria

A pervasive pattern of grandiosity (in fantasy or behavior), need for admiration, and lack of empathy, beginning by early adulthood and present in a variety of contexts, as indicated by five (or more) of the following:

1. has a grandiose sense of self-importance (e.g., exaggerates achievements and talents, expects to be recognized as superior without commensurate achievements)
2. is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love
3. believes that he or she is "special" and unique and can only be understood by, or should associate with, other special or high-status people (or institutions)
4. requires excessive admiration
5. has a sense of entitlement, i.e., unreasonable expectations of especially favorable treatment or automatic compliance with his or her expectations
6. is interpersonally exploitative, i.e., takes advantage of others to achieve his or her own ends
7. lacks empathy: is unwilling to recognize or identify with the feelings and needs of others
8. is often envious of others or believes that others are envious of him or her

I very truly believe he did NOT want to say that on the record. That is a MAJOR slip-up on his part. His WHOLE DEFENSE against the Swifts is that he has released ALL of his records, and that they are publicly available on his website (which we all KNOW is just another Kerry Lie)

That ONE statement could cost him Ohio and Pennsylvania. We just need to lean on it some.

Kerry has PUBLICLY acknowledged he has willingly withheld information from the public regarding his fitness to serve. What is SO harmful about making his IQ public knowledge?

I have an IQ that bangs the pins. So what? That an $3.65 will get me a mocha latte grande at my local expresso haunt. Oh, and membership in a club I won't join because it would have me as a member.

Then again, all a superior IQ does for you is give you the good sense NOT to run for public office. On the other hand, I retired at 40, so there are advantages, I suppose.

Be that as it may, such a statement made by Kerry so late in the campaign could have a ripple effect.

"I don't know where they got that from. My records are not public."

What are you hiding, Senator?

Listen to the interview.

He, he, he, he. Got a crack at Kerry on national TV.

Brokaw: Someone has analyzed the President's military aptitude tests and yours, and concluded that he has a higher IQ than you do.

Kerry: That's great. More power. I don't know how they've done it, because my record is not public. So I don't know where you're getting that from.

I almost wish he would find out that a Navy veteran birthed the IQ story.

Kerry claims to have released his records. Gee, he just can’t keep his story straight.

Here is what Steve Sailer contributes

http://www.isteve.com/

My Kerry IQ story makes the NBC Nightly News:

Brokaw: Someone has analyzed the President's military aptitude tests and yours, and concluded that he has a higher IQ than you do.

Kerry: That's great. More power. I don't know how they've done it, because my record is not public. So I don't know where you're getting that from.

Brokaw: Do you think he's a smart man?

Kerry: I do. Yes, I do think he's a smart man.

Brokaw: Do you think too many people in your party underestimate?

Kerry: I think people have always underestimated President Bush. But I'm proud that in those debates, I didn't underestimate him.

Well, actually, Kerry's campaign did release his Officer Qualification Test score on this Acrobat PDF on the www.JohnKerry.com website. Yet, even though huge numbers of Kerry's supporters and detractors pored over this dump of documents on Kerry's military record, the first person who seems to have noticed the significance of that one document was Sam Sewell, a Navy vet and minister in Florida who works with gifted children with learning disabilities. Because I'd written articles in the past on candidates' IQ, he called it to my attention about a month ago, and I spent three weeks interviewing military psychometricians and reading old military reports to figure out how to interpret Kerry's score and how to compare it to Bush's scores on the somewhat similar Air Force Officer Qualifying Test.

I am in the process of educating Steve to the 180 issue.

Just sent this to media and glogs.

Does that constitute a lie? Or am I just being narrow minded?

MSNBC Transcripts
'Hardball with Chris Matthews' for April 27
Read the complete transcript to Tuesday's show
Updated: 10:31 a.m. ET April 28, 2004
Guests: John Kerry, Chaka Fattah, Kurt Weldon

MATTHEWS: What went out, it basically tracks what you did the other day on “Good Morning America.” And the question your staff put out, under your name, is, is Bush telling the truth, President Bush, when he said he had no special privileges or favoritism in jumping 150 places to get in the Air Guard in Texas?
What do you think about that? Is that something you care about? You want to know the truth?

KERRY: He ought to answer that question.
MATTHEWS: Why?

KERRY: Because I‘ve answered the questions. I released all my military records. Mr. Gillespie thought it was important enough to go travel to another state, make a big speech, demand that I release my records. I did. Everything. All of it. Including my officer fitness reports.

Now look at this from today’s NBC News

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6354942/

Brokaw: Someone has analyzed the President's military aptitude tests and yours, and concluded that he has a higher IQ than you do.

Kerry: That's great. More power. I don't know how they've done it, because my record is not public. So I don't know where you're getting that from.

Does that constitute a lie? Or am I just being narrow minded?

From Steve Sailer who wrote the article that appeared in the New York Times
