Yet there are people who think we can reason with these folks or these workers are at fault for being there in the first place.

I agree. I cried the first time they beheaded one our own. But now I just get so angry. You cannot talk to those terrorists. I wish we could just go and blow them all up, minus the women and children and old women and men. But can you even trust the old ones? Look at Sad-dam, he is old too.

Okay, I am a little calmer now. I do believe that liberty and democracy is one of God's gifts to mankind. I am very often thankful that God does not "give me" what I deserve. I am always thankful that God blesses me with what I have not merited.

I also believe that while God will always love us, we can distance ourselves so much from God that his blessings should no longer be expected. I think that these terrorists have behaved in such a manner as to abdicate any entitlement they have to the blessings of liberty and democracy. I believe they have abdicated their entitlement to be treated as human beings.

We need to stop playing make believe that this is some sort of Hollywood movie. Being "sensitive" towards (Deleted by Admin) , mosques, hospitals, etc is utterly silly in a war zone.

During the battle for Monte Casino in WWII there was a rumor that there were Nazi troops holed up in the Monastery of Monte Casino. We bombed it completely flat. Why? Because a church/hospital ceases to be a church/hospital the minute that any armed soldiers, be they male, female, young or old takes up a fighting position inside.

I have a real problem with the idea that we can fight a sensitive, politically correct war. It just does not compute. If these mosques are so holy, then why are they allowed to become havens for murderers? I'm sorry, I just don't care about their religous shrines at all. I care about people, not buildings. And if attacks on people are being carried out from a building of any kind: buh-bye, building, be it "Holy Shrine" or otherwise.

I am sorry for the women, children, and other non-combatants, but the sooner we suck it up and get this terrible thing done, the sooner we can restore the rule of law and give the country back to them.

We can not allow these terrorists and insurgents to dictate our rules of engagement to us, which is essentially what they have been doing. We can not allow them to establish "no go" zones for our military within Iraq.

This is a *hot* issue for me. I would withdraw my support for Bush in a nanosecond if I thought he was wavering or was going to allow a bunch of sissies at State to start calling the shots. Fortunately, that scenario does not jibe with what I have seen of the man.

Another thing to be considered. How sure are we that any of these disgustingly barbaric acts have not been carried out from within some of these so called "Holy sites" that harbor these animals?

I had started another thread on the same subject. Here is my two cents....

Once again, the revolting, barbaric act of a beheading of one of our citizens has occurred in Iraq. The perpetrators who do this to humans are not humane or HUMAN.....they are nothing but heartless butchers totally devoid of conscience, feeling or mercy.

If there is one thing certain we have all come to learn about the Internet is that the common folk, the pajama crowd, now has a voice like no other before. With that in mind, it's about time that our voices be heard in the media, by our government and the Islamic governments who claim to be our friends, that we can no longer sit by and watch these vermin take lives in such a barbaric fashion while nothing, absolutely nothing, is being done to stop it. Token condemnation by Islamic government officials is being mouthed while they watch the murders on Al Jazeera as they sip their tea and send more money to the terrorists.

I will be emailing my Senator and Congressman, the Saudi, Kuwaiti, Jordan and Egyptian governments to express my revulsion over these continued beheadings and demand they all take action and use their considerable influence in the Islamic world to stop them. We all need to demand that our government consider sanctions, blockades and seizure of funds to get the attention of those Islamic governments who are just giving lip service to the fight against terrorism. Wherever possible, we have to boycott anything associated with Islamic governments or businesses in this country, including motels, hotels, casinos, etc., until we see some positive action on their part.

Something has to be done about this barbarism and we need to kick this around here and at other websites to how best to accomplish this. All comments welcome....

I can only ditto all said here. Repulsive. They think Americans will fold but there are many who say Haell No!!! We may be a people who do not want to start a fight but we will sure finish it!

Do some people really believe the terrorists are every where in every country BUT Iraq! Stupid! The world changed 911. I agree 100% that "if you are not with us you are against us". No sitting on the fence.

We must fight them over there. In essence, force them to band together and then we can deal with them. And as Iraq forms a new government the people of Iraq will be free and fewer will find terrorism as a viable option for their life. This will take time. A long time. A lot of ups and downs. We absolutely cannot pull out too soon.

I HATE war. I HATE that soldiers die. But almost 3000 nonenlisted died on 911 as the first casualties, as I have said before, and now we are all soldiers in one way or another. The taking of the school in Russia... think it won't happen here? I pray not. People who think that since they don't work in a big building or in a high profile city like NYC, they are not at risk personally and therefore just want to go back to easier days.. forget it! The terrorists have been studying Charlotte NC and what other cities and towns?? While we carry on our everday lives, we can slip into denial of the threat and that makes it easier for people to only focus on their single, personal issues.

Bush hasn't divided this country...some abandoned the ship. We are all still here where they left us, steadfast and resolute. Wish they would come back and stand with us. And vote Bush/Cheney.

God Bless all who have lost their lives in this fight.

It is a sad day to lose any American, especially an innocent who was trying to rebuild the neglected infrastructure of a country that has fallen so far into disrepair.

Keep us all strong in the fight. Don't let us crumble and cave.

Our military members are strong and determined and they know better than we what is happening over there. They're the ones bearing the brunt of this savagery.

The least we can do is stay strong and keep faith with them and know that they will prevail over the barbarians.
